Mosaic I will have to wait for the next KS printing. I am hearing buzz that it is really good. Just had a friend play it a few days ago with the Dice Tower and he said it was one of the best civ games he had ever played and that was after only 1 play. I am eager to see it in action.

I recently played Mosaic with Glenn Drover at a convention. I REALLY wanted to love it but, it was just ok. I feel like it was partially due to the player count, we played with 6. It felt too drawn out, took to long and by the time it was your turn alot would change so, you couldn't really plan ahead. Loved it at the beginning so, look forward to trying with maybe 4 max.

Mosaic and Last Light are the two games from this list that I'm most excited about. Mountain King might deserve being there, but I haven't played the sequel (is that the right word? This is the second, but it's a prequel, so...)

I had very low hopes for Planet Unknown and that 30 months delivery time soured me a bit but I gotta admit, this is a really good game. Empire's End looks worth look.As far of Rise of Ix, I'd say that if you were on the fence like I was this expansion will convert you to a true fan. Lastly how did you not like an upgrade kit? WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH ALEX????

One of the KS updates for Fall of the Mountain King indicated that they would be selling the game at either Gencon or one of the other big Cons. They let us know in advance, because it would be before the KS fulfilled. They explained it is one of their main ways to make money as a smaller publisher. Everyone appreciated the transparency, and wants to see them succeed. So, may be on sale at Gencon!

Isn't Dune: Imperium - Rise of Ix available for quite long already? New expansion is already announced. Sure, it's worth checking out, but it feels like everyone should have far more than enough time for that maybe? ;) I am waiting for my KS copies of both Mountain King games and iirc, those are coming sooner rather than later. They might be available at GenCon.

Also I was super excited for Mosaic but with every play through I watch I like it a little less. Its just starting to feel very flat. But I hope you are right and I am wrong. Oh and I can tell you backer copies are even on the water yet, we got a couple of months at least. Also Last Light seems excellent, you should try Empire of the Sun, also a solid hour and 20 minute 4x game.

Man. We usually align in our tastes so much, but I couldn't disagree more on Isle of Cats. I like the regular game, but I VERY much did not like the roll 'n' write. Felt like it was much more fiddly and bookkeeperish. Much preferred putting the actual tiles on my boat rather than the mental gymnastics trying to flip and turn everything in my head

Mosaic was one of the biggest disappointments I've ever played. The market stagnates and punishes people for buying cards, it doesn't make sense that you can build anywhere you want on the map. We were going to back the KS until we tried it on the physics engine and were so bored. It may have been improved since the campaign ended??

Would love to try mosaic it looks interesting just for some reason I wasnt pulled in enough to back it though was really really close. But It looks really good. Planet Unknown has surpassed my expectations we really enjoy it and it actually plays 6 players quickly which is a rarity

I totally agree, I do not like Dune's upgrade kit at all. It looks very out of place compared to the original components.
