You did an incredible job on this video brother! Thank you so much it helps to hear it from people who know how to get the best out of being a driver and also a passenger. I can’t tell you how many drivers didn’t get a tip because they weren’t even open to a simple conversation forgetting that they are in the customer service industry

Hey Calvin Great information as always from you! I am going to download Flightstats. I have run waze for the past 3 years and its awesome! Also I use to have the Mile I.Q. but when I found out that my Quick Books Self Employed has a mileage tracker I just use that instead. One thing is that the OBSE support is not very good as there was a glitch with their app connecting to my C.C. account and had wasted lots of time with that and gave up 4 months later they did fix the glitch. Perhaps at $10 per month this is all the support your going to get! I would gladly pay more per month if they supported the app better. Another good app is Maxymo switching app. for Uber and other gig platforms. Just know that Lyfts official policy is that they will not allow any 3rd party access for switching (by the way makes it less safe while driving - lyfts bad policy)! When Maxymo was able to control Lyft this made you more money and safer while driving! This app when set up in the filters you set makes accepting trips hands free and automatic with Uber and others that are supported! The developer Joe Middleton (Middleton Technoligies) is excellent with support and always personally gets back to you on technical issues. Joe Middleton also had tried countless times to fix the app to allow control of Lyft driver app but the Lyft team would intentionally update it so as to prevent all 3rd party switching apps from working properly! Have a lot of respect for him as you can see! Again Calvin thank you for your good info and your positivity! Dave

Calvin, Thank you for sharing these vital apps. I use the Life360 app so my loved one can track my location at all times, even when I sign off the uber app. I also use the PlutoTV app during my breaks offline since its free cable TV and movies on the go. When I need to park during my breaks I use the ParkMobile app and I pay for my street parking by entering the displayed zone numbers, and I can extend the time if I do not return at the original time.

In the Los Angeles area, Waze seems to not update the traffic a lot of the time. It’s almost like their traffic servers don’t update. I’ve been places where Waze says there should be a lot of traffic, but when I’m there, there is very little traffic. Also, Waze loves to cross busy intersections that don’t have a stop light. They need to have an option where it will only cross intersections that have a stoplight.

Great info. 👍 I also used to Eventbrite and StubHub to track certain events and used destinations trips to these events and to know what time the event is over to get immediate trips and then double back or head over to a “waterhole” saved in my favorites in the Waze app. I live 5 mins away from a local stadium so I use StubHub with my location to track every event there and other places in the city. I will try to use it to plan rides to not have to spend too much time out on the road. I also used apps for the local transit and have it saved as a quick “waterhole” if I just finished a trip and if I am close by, I will usually get a quick trip from someone getting off of the transit station. Using the local transit app helps map out neighborhoods where there is no local bus route at all, or to know what time buses stop running and post up there. Particularly on Sundays and Holidays, buses start late and stop very early. People still need to get to and fro. Good for distance rides.

Music apps are great! I prefer Soundcloud and Musiccloud. Spotify costs money. The free version plays A LOT of ads. That's why I don't listen to FM or Spotify. The rider will be listening, to commercials, for the entire trip.

Hey calvin was wondering if there was a direct way such as email or something else to contact you directly. As a new uber driver I had a thought about something and wanted to run it across you to see what you think
