I'm not sure I can see how you lead no. #3 (open-close). For me it always requires a lot of leading for the follower to "get it".

It can be a little bit tricky. To do it correctly: - You should have good connection (forearm connection) and the correct frame. - The leader does bolero (breathes in), this is understood by the follower if you have the correct frame, and now she knows that you won’t do a normal basic. - You do open-close without transferring your weight, because of this, your frame doesn’t change. If the follower respects the frame, there is no way she can do a basic, otherwise she would have to lose the frame and connection with you. - When you want to get out and do basic, you go out of bolero (breath out). Hope that helps! 😊
