Pro tip : When you search for something in the cortana bar and hit enter, it will launch Edge and search with Bing. But here's how to fix that : 1. Install the EdgeDeflector program, it will redirect the search to whatever your default browser is instead of Edge 2. If you're on Chrome, install the Chrometana extension which will turn the Bing search into a Google search

I use The Great Suspender (kind-of a necessity when my tabs number not in the hundreds, but in the THOUSANDS, even with 64GB RAM), but it DOES have a pretty critical flaw, IMO. There are situations where, if the extension either gets disabled, or crashes (I forget which), the suspended tabs don't just crash with Chrome's something went wrong page (or whatever it is). No, the tabs THEMSELVES actually get closed. GONE! 😱 One way I work around this is I also have the Session Buddy extension, and periodically save my sessions. Then if that happens, I can go to the other sessions, and hopefully restore my lost suspended tabs. Also, I find that TGS doesn't free up QUITE as much memory as I would like, and the extension itself takes up some RAM while it's in use. Someday I'd like to find a suspender extension that fixes TGS's flaws I outlined above, AND frees up the same amount of memory (or more if possible) as if I had killed their processes with Chrome's task manager. 😊

Soooooo glad you mentioned the thing about News Guard and Mainstream news outlets. Definitely biased towards them, but I think for smaller information outlets, it's still a useful tool to have, sort of like an instant second-opinion kind of thing. You just got to remember to think for yourself and not rely only on News Guard, just like with anything.

I like your blur on your e-mails. It seems like it doesn't just mix around where you are blurring, but picks out the black text in a selected region and then makes large pixels with a randomized color. The one short fall is it isn't consistent with bluring the whole texted regieon by filling in the black spots. It looks like it recognizes the text and blocks that out specifically. Thats definitely enough for most things. But you can see where letters reach up or down or are small and isolated. I'm pretty confident that if it isn't jibberish some knowns could be sifted out of this.

Flowcrypt essentially makes it very difficult for any hacker to intercept your emails. If you are sending private and important information beyond your network, then it is advised to use such security. This is especially useful if you work for a company where you often send private information such as personal information, customer data, analytics or private business data to different networks. Both you and the receiver have a "key", each key is unique and cannot be replicated. These keys are used for encryption and decryption of data, and the reason a hacker may find it difficult, if not, near-impossible to acquire such key (to then intercept and steal your data) is because typically this "key" is a password of some sort. If you have it memorised, then there is no way they can ever encrypt or decrypt your messages, assuming that there is no spyware on your computer of course. In addition, this is an especially useful google extension for people working in bigger businesses where working within protocol is important, so that the company is not sued for breaching laws such as the Data Protection Act. However, this knowledge I have acquired is merely from a GCE qualification course of computer science. There is certainly information I am omitting. edit: Also, I'm assuming that that's what flowcrypt does from what you describe in the video, so I may be wrong if you omitted important information.

Firefox has an inbuilt screenshot tool. So that's one less thing you'd have to download as an extension if you use firefox over chrome. Although it's very basic. But that's all most people need.

Instead of push bullet and stuff like that, I just downloaded a "Webpage to QR" extension, so I just scan it with my phone and share it, is just faster to pop up your camera and share the link that way

I don't think NewsGuard is a useful extension. You should train yourself to discern what is trustworthy and what is not, by examining the past reliability of the source/looking at possible biasing motives/cross-referencing other sources etc. If you rely on anything to tell you the credibility of other things, then in the end you still have to put your faith in the credibility reporter. Who's to say NewsGuard isn't compromised? Not saying that it is, but I doubt the average user has done research on NewsGuard's reliability.

PLEASE HELP! I have had problems with "google chrome is not responding". I checked out a few videos to correct related to Windows 10 and did the low hanging fruit thing with clearing chache/cookies, uninstalling/reinstalling chrome and windows 10, making sure chrome and windows were both at 64 bits, and even wrote Google Chrome for some assistance which they never responded. Any suggestions to help correct this chrome delayed response??? I sure would appreciate any help I can get besides taking my laptop in to get serviced for a crazy fee.. Thanks
