Eddie vs JBL is probably the bloodiest match I’ve ever seen. Eddie just spurting blood from his forehead and covered in it like Carrie on prom night while staining the ring is a gruesome sight. That being said, hell of a match.

That Eddie vs JBL match from Judgement Day 2004 is my all time favorite wrestling match! It was one of the last magical wrestling matches WWE ever produced imo (R.I.P Eddie! Latino Heat will always live in our hearts!) For me personally, even without my own biasness towards the match, it's the best match with a DQ ending ever, with Shawn and Mankind being a super close 2nd! Thanks for reminding wrestling fans that DQ finishes can be done well Cultaholic!

Imo, there are only three memorable things about IYH: Mind Games: 1.) Savio Vega getting into it with Tommy Dreamer and The Sandman, who sat at ringside as the show took place in Philly; 2.) Austin cutting his infamous 'If you put an 'S' in front of Hitman' promo; 3.) Mankind challenging Shawn Michaels for the WWF Title. It's unfortunate that the ending only served as a setup for the following month's first-ever Buried Alive Match, but Mick and Shawn still had one heck of a title match regardless.

The most incredible thing about the Seth/Ambrose match was that it took place in Corpus Christi, a city which historically has had some of the worst wrestling audiences of all time, and they managed to draw out the most emotion that audience has ever had with that match and finish. It truly as a Christmas miracle... in May.

The DQ in the KotR '94 match also makes sense due to The Anvil's heel turn and joining with Owen Hart at the end of the show, with Jim ensuring the belt stayed on Bret so Owen could be the one to beat him for it.

I would have thought the Iron Man Match between Triple H and The Rock would have been on here since the last fall was a DQ, but Trips technically won. I guess that's why it didn't make the list, kind of a murky grey area

I get it, but it definitely ended in a DQ

Deserved no.1 spot. That one felt like a brutal epic. Great in story terms too. People were dying to see Angle win next time and hated Austin afterwards, but doubted he’d ever lose it after Kurt’s absolute heroics couldn’t get the job done. One of the few real highlights of the Invasion.

Non finishes is not lazy booking. It was how the territories were built. It's how they got people to come back week after week. Two guys meet for a title. The champion gets counted out or fails to be beaten within the time limit. So you come back the next week with a stipulation to negate that non finish, and something else happens. Then eventually you meet in a blowoff match where a diffinitive winner isdetermined. But hey, it's been bastardized so much in the last 20 years sure that's the case now.

It cracked me up when Rollins beat Reigns by DQ, because people tried to swear up and down that it was a good thing and that they would just have a rematch, but the ending feels even flatter now that they more or less have never closed that plot point between the two. Why wouldn’t Rollins receive an immediate rematch in that scenario?
@JustinTyme116 Жыл бұрын
As much as I didn’t think that Christian should’ve been the heel in his feud with Orton, I won’t lie, that post match beatdown that Orton gave Christian in that match was entertaining!

The Invasion storyline was so awful it ruined 2001 for me. It could have been a solid year but at least all of the PPV’s that year were solid. SummerSlam 2001 is really underrated and overlooked. Other then the DDP and Taker match the rest of the matches were solid. Austin and Angle had a really great match and I agree with it being #1. Austin was still kinda entertaining despite how awful the heel run was but as a stand-alone is was still enjoyable. WWE did the heel run at the right time from their greatest show ever but the way they booked and executed it was disappointing. The biggest issue with the run is that fans just didn’t want to boo him because of how entertaining and great he was and that’s why his heel turn which Austin planned and wanted to do fell flat.

7:52 - Okay but how does that make any damn sense? It's already weird enough that blatantly assaulting the ref in the middle of a match isn't an instant-DQ as long as the ref _currently being knocked out_ doesn't call it, but then, if we're suddenly deciding that a ref can retroactively call a DQ once they come to, why doesn't that happen _every single time_ a wrestler blatantly hurts a ref on purpose? And what sense does it make that one referee can overrule the winning call made by another referee? Who gave him that authority? Why is the replacement ref, who should therefore be the _only_ official ref, essentially told to eat shit? Dusty finishes are already kinda BS when 99% of the time, wrestling federations and particularly the WWE act like a referee's ruling is sacro-sanct and cannot be undone even when the whole world saw the heel cheat, but now a single ref can just decide to change how the entire federation works? And last but not least, if you're trying to punish the heel for assaulting a referee, especially if YOU are the referee in question, why would you do so _in a way that advantages them_ ?! Wouldn't the obvious call be to go with whatever advantages the other wrestler, like what happens in pretty much any sport? Stuff like this makes it a straight-up plot hole every time a cowardly heel doesn't immediately sucker-punch the ref or kick his opponent square in the balls the first chance he gets to get DQ'd and retain.
