I often wonder if Valkyries would be good to take down some interceptors? Maybe a few cloaked wraiths to get some hits when the carrirs fall back?

flash actually saw the carrier instead of the flee beacon, his scan didn't reveal the fleet beacon (only the 2 stargates) but he saw the carrier twice to confirm it (so fast its unbeliavable how he's able to process the information in a split second)

Almost any game Flash loses can be credited to the fail on Flash's part, but this game was great play from Kal.

@Kamfrenchie Valkyries do very poorly vs Carriers, or any large heavy air unit. Plus their splash damage is fickle. Interceptors spread out a LOT when attacking, the overlap with be bad. Additionally, even if you do manage to take down the 2-3 interceptors which happened to be in the wrong spots, the carriers could just recall them and get instantly healed.

@Kamfrenchie Doesn't work that way. Wraiths are paper planes, build slowly and get absolutely wrecked by ground troops. Plus, if the Stargates are next to even a single cannon, it shuts down sniping. And most P will have an observer moving with their main army. Do you not play BW? The game's 12 years old, all the match-ups have been boiled down and perfected. There's 0 room left for innovation. Whatever you think of, a million other guys have thought the same thing earlier.

@Strand0410 100 apm is standard for new players? really? it's pretty high compared to what you need in most RTS. Excuse me, but a campaign player will most likely have 20 to 30, after more than 100 games i think I got above 60. And yes, my multitasking was horrible but it is because of my poor apm. Multitasking involve apm. Even if I had 5 racks i struggled to keep the rpoduction, because of the limit of 5 + the speed, and keeping up a good production on 5 buildings take a lot of apm

@Strand0410 I played many games of BW, then got tired to be beaten 90% of the time because of my poor apm. But sometimes you see a progamer come up with a noriginal play isn't it. Still that seem kinda unbalanced. f played well, the carriers will obliterat the goliath, since they can evade easily whil the goliath have to deal with the terrain.

SC2 is simply inferior to Broodwar. Theres much more of a Macro focus in Broodwar, multiple bases on large maps with skirmishes happening all over the place. SC2 there's a ton of cheese, maps are very small with more focus placed on micro and one big battle that decides the game. Im not even going to get into balance issues. And Kal made a good decision going to Carrier's. This is a Carrier map if there ever was one.
