That CR8MO2VSI is also known as DC53 or D3. An improved version of D2 with less corrosion resistance than D2. So tougher, better edge retention, and less corrosion resistance than D2 Crucible used this steel in development of Cruwear. Very similar except Cruwear has more vanadium.

Hey Thanks for the reviews - Im not really a Fixie type guy yet I do like the Vosteed BUT 1 Fixed blade I have & I LOVE is the Olive Knives Fixie , it has an ELMAX blade with a REALLY COOL Fibonacci cut & it is a WORKHORSE and it's not cheap @ $400 but it is EXTREMELY High Quality & has a LFETIME Warranty , Anyone who buys it will NEVER need ANYTHING else . I actually WON it from LuvThemKnives & I will CHERISH it FOREVER and I am VERY THANKFUL !

I have about 50 fixed blade knives of various sizes. 1095, 80CRV2, 65mn, 440C, 420HC, 14C28N, 5160, etc. blade steels. I think my favorite is (so far) 14C28N.

I’ve always liked smaller fixed blades. I’m glad there have been more offerings lately. Of those in this video, I have the Smolt in 3V and 154CM. I also bought the Muskrat in 154CM. I’ve bought a couple of Eafengrow fixed blades. They are a great value. I’ve stayed away from their folders though. Too many look like clones. I’ll be watching Black Friday week to see if they offer some deep discounts on Eafengrow.

Noted. In order to keep things moving quickly with a list of 10 I keep specs and price out of it. I figure if it looks good the person will go check it out. It's a lot more pregame work to add in all the pricing and specs. With shorter lists 5-7 I'd be more inclined. I'll figure it out. Thanks for your feedback
