Shane's break is 100 years ahead of its time. Both commentators said Alex jumped up on his missed shot at 11:42, and they kept on harping about it. I replayed that shot 3 times and didn't see him even come close to jumping up on that shot. He stayed perfectly still throughout his stroke.

I honestly cant believe that Alex Pagulayan missed that shot in that shootout. For me Alex is one of the BEST POTER in Pool that i ever seen, specially in potting longshots. Maybe Efren is the best kicker and has a better safety game, but Alex Pagulayan is perhaps the best potter. If i would bet my life if the line on one longshot into a Player, i would entrust it to Alex Pagulayan or Thorsten Hohmann.

@@ManuelHernandez-sw2tb Yes, even pros will RANDOMLY miss a shot -- and that's my point: It could have been either one of them, so the winner is not necessarily the best player, and this 2-short-sets format maximizes the probability of that result. This format increases the luck factor, and one result is that the final winner was someone I never heard of and will probably never hear of again.

Sorry , but as a player, and only thats counts, it is disgraceful, having played two short sets, where basically any mistake can cost ye a set and then finally to lose, having travelled de whole world to attend to that particular tournie, just 'cuz ye miss one damn standart shot. This is just wrong. The whole format pays tribute to the ' new generation of viewers ' who cant concentrate for damn 10 minutes and only rally for their pityful adrenaline rush. Look at de Mosconi Cup and the ' audience ' there ... just disgusting. Pool used to be a Gentleman' sport. Now it degraded to a cheap Roman Spectacle. Fuck it.

@@ODA-392 yeah the whole format definitely plays to everyone's now shorter attention span. It's kinda sad lol. But unfortunately people don't like long races to a million anymore haha. And honestly pool has been dying for a looong time now you know that. Without the help of probably Efren like the entire country of the Philippines, the sports online following would relatively nonexistent. If you participate in a dying sport where the tourney holders make rules that you don't like for the purpose of getting newer viewers (bc obviously a longtime fan and player opinions on how the sport should be haven't been or just aren't productive in making the sport more popular) then I guess we just have to roll with the suck....or hold your own tourneys lol
