Thanks this was a real treat, love both shooters. One announcer was great to listen to I really enjoyed his insights, great voice. If I could pattern my game after anyone it would be Fedor Gorst.

That rack seemed tilted askew more than a few times. Aren't there register marks for the template? Or was it just camera angle?

Lion with the side break was genius. I really believe that gorst really does get frustrated with the game because he's a shooter and a position expert. Gorst when every single game is slower does effect his play. The announcers adore Gorst but they're perspective was off concerning lion strategy being as effective as it was. Obviously I'm not saying that in a couple of years it will be as effective or even effective at all. But I really seen the way the lion slowed down the game was definitely the edge he needed to compete against Gorst.

I must add this regarding the state of the game of Pool. I am even more dumbfounded as I realized this is a Pat Flemming Tournament. I would not have expected Pat to allow a bastardized version the game of 10 Ball.😢 Now to acknowledge just Who Mr. Pat Flemming is: The FACT is ; Pat IS Responsible for us having Players like Filler,Gorst, Yapp, the Ko’s,the Polish, and many more , some from Countries that didn’t even know pool existed, before Accu-Stats videos. The learning curve to become a decent player has been reduced from Decade’s to (in some cases)a couple of years., and sparked the interest in our sport to Millions!!!!! The rest of the World is cashing in on a sport that as recent as 25 years ago was arguably considered an American sport. Boo Hoo.

I just watched Alex LUCK in a 10 ball. And it counts. What’s wrong with a sport that devise’s a new game with stricter rules than the game it replaced,only to change the new games rules to the old games rules cause the game is now too hard . Why not just play the old game? Why not save the new game intact to be used for or when it will be used for whatever reason it was devised. ( And the “ Powers that Be wonder why this ‘ SPORT’ NEVER takes off .) No major merchandise Companies want to invest. This SPORT should be a sponsors Dream. In my 37 years of LOVING this game,….never mind, I don’t have time. Leadership take note,you better get off your duffs (and players too) and work with people (like Camel, I P T,or whatever that writer tried to start, Barry Hearns. These people are not trying to rob you. They want a mutually beneficial, profitable enterprise. Your infighting is what causes the problems. To be continued :

Charles, Luck in 10-Ball was always the rule until a few years ago. It used the same rules as 9-Ball. It was changed in the last few years. We kept the old, original rule.

Kinda funny to me JJ mentioning Shane talking about other players getting frustrated and "making lots of faces" when things go wrong. Shane shakes his head no and makes the disappointed pursed lip face almost every single time that he doesn't get perfect on a shot lol

In the old games, if the cue stick made the cue ball leave the felt, it was a scratch ~so the best and most fun rule to stick in there, is, if the player jumping misses the shot but gets the safety, their opponent gets a choice of ball in hand, or give it back, or, the jumper has ta buy em a drink? lol

Billy lost his mind at 6-6, when Fedor was on the 5 ball, Billy said he could play the 5-9 billiard shot, lol. No way on earth Fedor plays the billiard on the 9 ball there, unless he was drunk or on drugs, JJ even laughed at him and told him it was not 9 ball. Billy goes off the rails sometimes, and that was one of them.
@sphigel12 жыл бұрын
To his credit, I’m guessing he had a bad view of the balls (perhaps not using his monitor) and thought the 5 and 9 were much closer to each other. That billiard was definitely not a hanger, not that there was even any reason to shoot it.

People don’t seem to appreciate how hard it is to control a jump shot-the amount of practice you have to put in. Also think about how often jump shots fly off the table or sell out. The jump shot is a huuuuuge risk. Banning the jump cue would be like banning the sand wedge in golf-it’s just another tool.
