devotion was one of my faves of 2023 as well! I really liked her notes on writing at the end, patti just writes so beautifully

You really have an impeccable taste. And I love your reviews. Now I can add new books to my TBR list. The only thing I would recommend is that you talk a little bit louder. You unfortunately get quieter and quieter the more you talk about a book. And than it's sometimes hard to understand especially for someone whose first language is not english.

Hope you enjoy reading the books :) and I will make sure to film with better sound next time, thank you for letting me know!

i have yet to come across a book similar or just as good as open water which i read back in 2022 but i have heard the the movie rye lane is very similar vibes. babel is my baby and made me read all of the authors work and now she’s an auto buy for me ❤

if you don’t mind read fantasy then her poppy war series is amazing but do check trigger warnings, i have read her latest yellowface but i found it more enjoyable buddy reading it with friends and reacting to the craziness that went on and i have heard that there is book called disorientation by elaine hsieh chou which is similar but people have preferred that more than yellowface which i myself want to read to compare the two. i haven’t yet to find anything similar to babel but it has led me to read more non fiction. a book i’d love to recommend to you is madonna in a fur coat (translated fiction) which is romance 😊
