I grew up in Miami, then we moved to Ocala in the 1980s. I love travelling around Florida, seeing and photographing historic sites, and Ocala is so ideally located for that. Scenic 17 is a beautiful drive. I remember driving up it through Frostproof on the way back from visiting friends in Miami years ago. Happy you were able to move back and enjoy living in paradise. :)

I live in Madison, WI. We want to move to Oviedo, Florida in the next few years. My daughter is almost 12. We are just not happy here despite me living here my whole life. There’s nothing to do and cold a majority of the year. I am pretty scared, but we are going to do it, within 3 years is our plan.

We moved from England to Ontario, Canada and have been here 11 years. We have been looking at Florida and researching nice affordable communities. We hope to be ready in approx 3 to 5 years and being nervous is normal. If our experience is any thing to go by, plan, keep to the plan and focus on the positives. Good luck.

Unfortunately St Petersburg is so often shadowed by Tampa. It is actually much nicer, beautiful downtown and close to beaches. I have been lucky enough to have lived in both.

Where is the most bad traffic Winter Park, Davenport or Kissimme?

It depends. If you work in Davenport or Kissimmee, the traffic won’t be much of an issue... however, if you have to commute to Orlando the traffic from those areas is horrendous! Winter Park is not bad so long as you are staying in Winter Park.... if you venture out towards the interstate it could be very busy during rush hour
