Mine, 'Nemanija Vidic' CB wise. I'm a Liverpool supporter & I saw a comparably less skilled Man United won 2008/09 Premier League because they have Vidic at the back against a good Liverpool team consisting Torres & Gerrard. Dani Alves shouldn’t have been an honorable mention in my opinion. Bro was one of the only defenders who could stop and tackle PRIME Ronaldo successfully (the same guy who destroyed many defenders at his time with his lightning pace, tall body, and great physique and is Messi’s strongest rival). I’m a Madrid fan, and I don’t respect him as a person because of the recent crime he’s been arrested for, but even I would say he’s the best RB football had (no offense to Cafu fans).

No Oscar Ruggeri? World Cup winner 1986 and the key element of the 1990 Argentina squad that reached the World Cup Final. Also a member of Copa America championship team 1991. He should be on the list. Maradona himself said that he's the best South American defender of all time. Otherwise... good list.

I think that Beckenbauer was an exceptional player, he can play almost in every position, he was a good passer and dribbler. but, He wouldn't be that good in the modern era of football, but no doubt he was one of the greatest of all time. I consider Maldini as the goat of defenders bcz he had the technical ability with the ball and, the amount of tackles he used to do in a single match was just unimaginable!!!!!
