When you said "completely free" apps at the beginning of the video, I expected them to be exactly that. Apps that offer a "free trial" are not "completely free" and I find it disingenuous to say otherwise. Up to now I had highly valued and recommended Shopify content, but sadly I'm going to be much more hesitant in the future. In an era when the mainstream media has proven themselves untrustworthy it's becoming increasingly difficult to trust any corporate entities, accuracy of info divulged in your content is incredibly important if you want to maintain your integrity.

I just made a comment about my feelings to trust how they introdused that apps, but didnt check the apps yet. But thank you for higliting this. We all do this for money on the end of the day, and I dont expext someone to do a job and give me for free, however at leased I need to see that product/app is beneficial for me

@@olehsavchuk3189 you obviously missed the point in their comment … they were speaking about honesty and transparency because in the video they mentioned them being free and I have to agree I find it completely manipulative that it actually only offers free trial which we all know they’re two different things. Of course we all have to make our money even corporate firms however the people would appreciate some honesty it goes longer ways then lying and manipulating customers.

The apps do not only make money from the store owners, they leverage their products. I prefer the "you only pay if you make a sale model"

OK Free is not free when it is a 14 day free trial, or has monthly or usage fees .... please stick to your words especially when it's in your title - '10 Best Free Shopify Apps' is untrue / misleading. If you can only come up with 5 Best Free then so be it, but don't mislead people ... very disappointed in Shopify for allowing this purposefully misleading video.

Trying to learn how to build my Shopify store on the official tutorial was much too fast for this 64 yr old! I slowed the speed and still ended up having to go back to catch what I missed! Shopify needs to understand that not all Shopify store users are 20 something yr old tech savvy kids. I gave up and started searching for someone to help me. This got a big fat 0 from me! I have a niche product I believe people will love if I can ever get my store built!!

The most expensive is how to advertise the website from Shopify, because Shopify trial is not really enough for you to build your website from under their company, unless you are tech savvy and have a lot of times modifying your website under Shopify plus a lot of apps that needs to add with monthly pay e very apps you need for building your online store.. I didn’t know these till I have Shopify online store now.. Because their ads said ..”free sign up and trial” But there is a monthly after that, you make a sales or not plus the apps same thing, monthly fee also you have to pay.. 😢

Shopify advertises themselves well, and they have advantages. On the other hand, a big issue is the functionality you get vs. having to get apps. It is easy and somethings essential to get too many apps that have a fee. Can a starter afford that? Do they compare this functionality with other platforms dollar for dollar? Also - don't be fooled when she says that it is free at first - they don't have enough capacity for free. She is well scripted - and avoids the real cost vs. functionality - which Shopify will never help you with.
