Bannerlord does not have to involve combat. One of the "easiest" ways to own the entire map is to get really good at smithing and trading. With those two skills maxed you can completely imbalance the entire economy selling your egregiously expensive weapons until you max out your trade skill and gain the ability to buy settlements. You can ned up owning the entire world without fighting anyone. It's not the most fun way but it's entirely doable and in many ways requires less skill fom the player.

I'd maaaybe count the first two games as well. You aren't exactly a nobody in them, Arena has you as a member of the Emperor's court n Daggerfall you're one of his personal spies, but you're not the chosen hero of prophesy in em at least. Morrowind it's kinda up in the air since you can choose to treat the prophesy as hogwash and fake your way to victory. Skyrim there's no defense for tho.
@mateus9942 жыл бұрын
Well, Morrowind still treats you like an absolute nobody in everything but the main quest, and you don't really have to touch it at all to enjoy the game. I've got 1400 hours in Morrowind and I swear I've only ever done the main quest once. The guilds don't have a story like in Skyrim where you end up becoming the leader in a day, they're usually just a bunch of fetch quests, and it takes you a very long time to become somebody in that guild, so you actually feel like you've earned it when you finally do.

What I enjoy most is that no 2nd play through is the same as the game is very random and unpredictable. In itself it just a story on it own. There is lore but no actual story to guide you. Your own existance is just the vehicle to drive a story out of nothing. Edit: I can't wait for the day kenshi 2 (prequel) gets to be reveal to the world. As it stand kenshi is by far way more immersive than skrim even with mods.

I was waiting for that mention of Gothic! Truly the game that got me into RPG's. You get beaten by the babies of every creature when you start, you definitely get the living crap beat out of you and robbed by everyone if you upset them, and sometimes even when you don't upset them simply by the fact everyone is in a shit situation and out for themselves.. And the amount of work you have to do to climb the social ladder is generally long and gruelling. Getting a new armor is linked to social standing which is amazing because you really feel great putting on a guard armor for instance.

I don’t remember where i heard this tip about the game but if you go back to skalitz after you have the horse that you actually own you can enter through the gate while on horseback and draw aggro on some bandits fighting there and gallop away until they lose aggro then ride back into skalitz and the bodies should have some really good expensive gear. Really helped me from being murdered by any cuman ambushes early to mid game.

I think with FF12, Vahn is the "perspective" that the story is predominantly told from. He absolutely is not the main character, so much as he, and maybe even Penelo, actually represent you, the player, tagging along with in-world characters dealing with important stuff that you would otherwise not be involved in. That's always how I wrapped my head around that game.
