Ash, try the Belcam clone of Drakkar Noir. It’s based on and a mells exactly like pre-reformulation 90s Drakkar Noir! And it’s $8! All the Belcam clones are surprisingly great and are $8-13. I’ve compared them to the originals and most of them are very very accurate!

Hey Ash. Nice video. What’s your opinion on combos? My latest thing is combining two fragrances. My wife loves Mont Blanc Explorer (as do I) and my all favorite summer fragrance is, of course, Acqua di Gio Pour Homme. I spray each one 3x on each arm and wow. What a mix. I’ve gotten more compliments on this combo than I ever have with any one single fragrance.

Has Drakkar been reformulated ? It was my first fragrance when I was a teen. It seems it smelled a little darker or heavier compared to today’s bottles.

Tbf, Drakkar Noir is so old that it's gone from being played out to not really being worn at all and kinda smelling relevant again. It's gone the full loop and honestly it's never really gone too far out of style, people still obviously buy it even if it's probably mostly people in their 50s. It's timeless so I can see how blindfolded someone might not know that it's dated. It's got a nice lavender and green backbone that has always been a part of fragrances.

I'd say maybe 6 or 7 Bellmen at my job pass the hallway and you can smell whiffs of Drakkar. They're around 19-25 years old...A classic never dies!

@@jadizm I'm not surprised, like I said I think it has "cool" potential again after spending a time as that one cologne that's associated with shady landlords and musicians who play at VFWs for $500. When you forget the stigmas that are attached to it, it's actually just a really great fragrance with a timeless DNA that you can wear anywhere, and you don't have to break the bank to get it.

I think its because D&G LB is too safe and too basic. Its been around for a while now and competition has surpassed it. While it's a safe non-offending blue summer frag nothing stands out about it and it won't turn heads anymore hence the price point. I don't hate it by any means but every time I smell it at the store I just think meh cheaper fragrance.

We all have different tastes, but I have seen that Chelsea's tastes go in my direction. And I have a friend that can't stand those perfumes. Anything that's stronger than Bright Crystal or Tiffany & Love will nauseate her. Hey, it's a fun journey discovering smells that we like.

Chelsey is a long time sharp nose, no beginner for sure. Fully agreeing with her not liking much the D&G Light Blue Eau Intense. Had the female version been on the list, I bet she would have ranked it higher than the men's. With this list included some others, would have been interesting to see her rankings for Mugler Cologne, Dior Homme Cologne, Prada L'Homme L'Eau, Zara Vetiver Pamplemousse, Guerlain L'Homme Ideal Cologne, Chanel Allure Edition Blanche EDP, even Givenchy Gentleman Cologne.

It has been my experience that smellimg products can overwhelm the sense of smell. Especially with so many in a row. Most fragrance counters keep coffee beans so that you can refresh your sense of smell before you go to the next scent. If not the smells get muddled and blend inside your nose and you really cant smell the scent as well after a few of them. I personally have noticed that I didn't like a scent after I've smelled three of them but if I do the coffee beans and go back to that fourth scent I do like it it's just that all the other stuff was muddled in my nose

I smelled most of these colognes,and the dry down is horrible to me. I'm probably going to buy the bleu de chanel edt and Tom ford Beau de Jour and use them for the summer.I have smelled so many that I didnt like.
