Whoever came up with Catwoman's design for the dark knight rises is a genius. Giving her a goggles/mask accessory that when flipped up, looks like cat ears at the back of her head, is nothing short of perfection.

Sorry but I think the best Nightwing costume design was the original with the yellow wings on the shoulders it was classiest looking the only reason the changed it was to make drawing the character easier and faster the orginal design had too much time consuming details but it still looks the best, Nightwing is supposed to represent his universe's Owlman/ Night owl. Now it looks like his costume is representation of Nighthawk with that bird emblem on his chest.

Tim Drake’s Robin redesign has got to be on there. It was so good they retroactively gave it to the other Robins. Also, technically Tim wore the original Robin design before getting the updated look.

But now yello/purple is now associated with Barabara. I did like how the main bat family all now have somewhat memorable colour palettes. You can tell who I am talking about when I say blue/black, red/black, green/red and purple/yellow.

The Giant Sized X-Men costume that became the look for the animated series is the most iconic look and will always be My personal favourite is the astonishing X-Men look (a good modernisation of the costume) I do like the brown suit for what it is and that’s Wolverine on his own

@@JOVONO if people read comics they would also know Logan can has a cannon reason he uses the yellow costume (even though he sometimes uses others). It's simple he wears it so he is easier to see. He knows when he is in a bezerker rage he is a danger to his friends so he wants to make it easier for them to spot him.

Ironman’s 1st redesign was to golden armor just like on Avengers #1. He quickly went to the red and gold design but it wasn’t the classic Iron man right away.

Fun fact: In Iron Man #68 (June 1974), Iron Man's faceplate was redesigned to have a NOSE. Apparently, this stemmed from a misunderstood editorial comment from Stan Lee about his eyes being drawn too close to the surface of the faceplate, which the artist took as "give him a nose," rather than "draw his eyes further back." The change lasted as long as it took for Stan to notice it in a later issue and go, "why the hell does Iron Man have a nose?"

I actually really liked the parker industries costume for spider-man. the metallic sheen along with the glowing eyes and spider emblem just worked so well together. best spider-man suit ever made imo.

Blue and Yellow Wolverine still looks more iconic for animated stuff and the comics. With Batgirl, I prefer the black and yellow costume from season 4 of BtAS. As much of a mess New 52 was (especially with what they did to Lobo); I honestly liked the new 52 design of Nightwing. The biggest change was the blue logo becoming red and it in general looks cool. Though the blue and black costume people are very familiar with also looks neat as well. If there was a version of the list for villains, the best design changes I can think of are Return of the Joker/Justice League Joker (combining the best aspects of the previous two designs), BtAS season 4 Scarecrow, BtAS season 1-3 The Riddler, BtAS season 1-3 Mr. Freeze, Loki when he went from being a Roman God to a Nordic God (though you could argue those two are not the same person), and Clock King's design evolution in general.

One of my favorite redesign is the Connor Kent Superboy look. First Superboy design is just superman with a more age-appropriate body. My issue is that many of the artists did not do subtle well and often a superboy comic didnt look aesthetically different than a superman comic. Then came the Reign of the Supermen Superboy design which was very......90s. I actually really like the costume part of the redesign. the black and gold boots, red pants, and black/blue shirt with superman logo and red gloves. I just didnt like the jacket, earrings, or the double belt around his waist especially considering he was wearing tights, not pants. It wasnt an awful look but excessive. The recent redesign modern take isnt bad either. But to me the basic connor kent redesign from young justice comics/tv series is my favorite. In stripping him down to straight haircut, black shirt with S logo and plain pants he becames cosmetically different than superman. Superman is the ultimate comic book hero costume, most costumes in some fashion come from it. Superboy is an anti-costume, being as ordinary as possible while still clearly part of the superman family. it's clear to me the only reason this character was removed during the new 52 and replaced with a version with that awful bright red costume is cause they gave superman a brighter version of this with his jeans and blue shirt everyman look. You put the two side by side and it would look like any father and son duo as oppose to making the new superman look stand out.

Iron mans first redesign was technically the gold clunky version of his first silver armor. I believe it was Steve ditko who redesigned it to the red and gold. I know it’s a nitpick, but hey the more you know

I complained on reddit that the Suicide Squad design of Harley Quinn just wasn't very good. I got downvoted to hell b/c 'she was trying to differentiate herself from the Joker'. Ok, but her costume was still crap. :/ Wish I would see that redesign more. They're still using the Suicide Squad one and it is terrible.

I still have love for the OG Nightwing costume (maybe lose the butterfly collar). Part of the design of it at one point, was to refer back to what he and his family wore when they were The Flying Graysons. Also the blue showing his growth, dipping his toes into Batman territory with the yellow being a callback to Robin. Even his second look (which they teased a return in Future State) was a fitting look, sans mullet. The current look is good and more tactical, stealthy, dat a$$ etc., but I can't help but think it also has something to do with the color scheme being easier/faster to color. Just stay away from the red

Nightwing's old costume. Future State where he put on a Deathstroke mask in combo with a costume similar to the original one with the yellow. What was the point? Did they ever even explain why? Or was it literally just to look cool during battle.

For all the images used to hail Wally Wood's redesign of Daredevil's costume, not one was by Wood. They were all images drawn by Gene Colan. Both are great artists, but since Wood did the redesign, maybe you should use at least some of his images.

Actually, if I recall correctly, it was based on an outfit that Superman, pre-Crisis, would wear in adventures in the city of Kandor. On those adventures Clark and Jimmy would have adventures as Nightwing and Flamebird.

Chuck Dixon gave two origins for it. One has the Krypton Nightwing with an apron in front of his pants. The other one ties it to Dick's father and, strangely enough, to Deadman.

Boy did you get some things wrong... The original Green Lantern wasn't Hal Jordan, and he wasn't wearing a 'military style' uniform from the 'corps'. Harley's reboot costume is AWFUL ! Wally Wood's original design for Daredevil was based on the golden age Daredevil, which fell into the public domain.
