What's fantastic about the 'rebirth' in The Matrix is that it's signposted in the scene with The Oracle where she says "You've go the gift but it looks like you're waiting for something" and when Neo asks what she offhandedly says "Your next life, maybe. Who knows?"

Don't know if this one counts, as the "resurrection" part occurred in a TV show, but there's Phil Coulson in The Avengers. Killed by Loki in the movie, he is shown to be brought back using Kree blood in Agents of S.H I.E.L.D. (which was introduced as being part of the MCU but retconned by Kevin Feige as not later). All Marvel fans know it is though 😅

Neo wasn't actually The One until after he was resurrected. You'll recall that the Oracle told Neo explicitly that he wasn't The One. She said he had the gift, but that it looks like he's waiting for something. When Neo asked for what, she said "who knows, your next life, maybe", or something to that effect. The kiss that resurrected Neo, as well as Neo's inexplicable leaping into Agent Smith's body, were both orchestrated by the Oracle, her ultimate purpose to give a bargaining chip to the humans so they can force the machines into a peace treaty. The entire trilogy is about the Oracle's attempts to stop the war. After five mass slaughtering at Zion, she eventually got so sick of the bloodshed that she tweaked with the Matrix's programming and ensured that Neo and Agent Smith's code got partially exchanged. This created an enemy (Smith) who will not stop until everything is destroyed. It also created the only thing that can stop Agent Smith, of course, Neo. After five nigh-genocides, the Oracle decided that the war was going to end, one way or another. That is, either everyone lives, or everyone dies. The ultime fruit of the Oracle's labour was one thing: getting Neo to walk out the "wrong" door in the Architect's room.

2 things: 1) "on your left" was already famous and a throwback to the beginning of Winter Soldier (it comes across as if youre saying made made famous bc Endgame) 2) The adrenaline sequence in Pulp Fiction was purposely chaotic as Tanatino has a rivalry with Michael Bay and HATED the adrenaline sequence from MB's movie "The Rock"

Thankfully suicide being played for laughs is not done all that often... Groundhog Day and Deadpool 2 are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head.

Honestly, I think in pretty much every case that it's "played for laughs" it's more about finding the dark humor in despair. The laugh instead of cry thing. I can think of another one. In Crimes of the Heart, Sissy Spacek is trying to kill herself and she has her head in the oven, waiting for it to work. There's popcorn on top of the stove and she starts eating the popcorn while she's laying there. It kind of makes her realize she doesn't want to die really and she goes to yank her head out of the oven, jerks up too soon, hits her head and knocks herself out, almost really killing herself. It's very funny scene but the it still has serious undertones, considering how many near suicides do regret the attempt. (in the movie, the character's mother had actually committed suicide).
