They still aren't coming close to APS-C and Full Frame cameras are they? 🙂

@@DeployJeremy can you make a video how to stream on chaterbate using a full frame camera and how much it would cost and how to set up OBS

The Sony a6100 or any mirrorless camera at the top end isn’t surprising in my opinion. I've used a D7200 as a webcam indoors and outdoors for over two years, and it’s clear that sensor quality and lens matter most imo. Nowadays, modern smartphones are closing in on webcams, and I’d argue they already outperform most mid- to low-range webcams when used with apps like DroidCam and a USB connection to the PC.

@@chrisrobo4208 Agree. Phones are already outperforming most webcams to be honest, especially the iPhone using Continuity Camera or Elgato Epoccam on Windows. They are getting closer to cropped sensor cameras.

Hello there! How do you feel the MX Brio and Kiyo Pro Ultra compare purely based on image quality? Follow up question is if pricing was $180 for Logi and $220 for Razer, which would you grab?
@DeployJeremy2 күн бұрын
That's a tough call. The Kiyo Pro Ultra is capable of a slightly a better image, but I didn't like the Razer Synapse software. The MX Brio has better software, but it's way oversaturated out of the box. At those two prices, it's fair for each. I'd probably go Logitech for longevity of support, better microphone, software and firmware updates, even though you're possibly giving up a tiny amount of image quality.
@MichaelTepsicАй бұрын
Hey Jeremy, where would you rank the Kiyo Pro Ultra in comparison to the Obsbot tiny 2, Tail Air and Insta 360 Link? And one more question regarding your Sony setup: do you still need the dummy battery when wanting to connect the camera directly and constantly to a PC or is there the possibility to simply connect it using a USB-C or other type wire? Thank you
@DeployJeremyАй бұрын
@@MichaelTepsic The Sony cameras traditionally don't charge over USB when they are powered on, but I haven't tried this on the ZV-E10 or a6100 that I have with USB-C (I know the older micro USB ones don't do this and did try that with my A7, a5000 and a5100). In terms of pure image quality (no gimbal or other features considered), I'd say the Kiyo Pro Ultra, Insta360 Link and OBSBOT Tiny 2 are all super close and with the right lighting and tuning you'll be happy, but I still don't think the Kiyo Pro Ultra was worth the $300 I paid for it. The Tail Air doesn't compete image-wise in terms of indoor camera and it's kind of a different animal tbh.
@MichaelTepsicАй бұрын
@@DeployJeremy Thank you so much for your quick and detailed response. Just to clarify your last statement: I understand the Tail Air is different especially in terms of its tons of capabilities outside of being just a webcam, but do you think it's worse image quality wise than the other webcams you mentioned or was the "indoor camera" statement related to cameras such as the ZV-E10 or a6100? Just to give you a better idea why I'm asking: I've been basically researching for weeks now what the right solution could be for our podcast that we moved from audio only to video. I'm currently using a Logitech StreamCam and am just not happy with the output and have been contemplating between a high end webcam with the best image quality such as the Kiyo Pro Ultra and a possible ZV-E10 setup, which would be more expensive but also more flexible in terms of usage (e.g. shorts, vertical vids etc.) but also not as plug and play like the webcam solutions. The "search" has become overwhelming to a point :)
@DeployJeremy29 күн бұрын
@MichaelTepsic I'm saying the image from the Tail Air is not the best, at least when used as an indoor webcam. I'd personally just take the hit and do the Sony if you can justify the price. No webcam or phone will touch it in terms of image quality (and I've tested them all)
@MichaelTepsic29 күн бұрын
@ thank you so much for clarifying. One more question if you‘ll allow: do you have any issues with overheating on your ZV-E10?
@DeployJeremy29 күн бұрын
@MichaelTepsic I had to turn the off the low heat threshold auto power off on mine. I left mine on and running for about 3 straight years without turning it off at night. I don't advise this, since eventually the shutter froze after about 3 years (being on Teams calls 60+ hours per week, I justified it at the time). The camera rarely overheated, maybe in 90° summer days after being powered on for 9 straight months.

Honestly, you should be able to get a C920 for around $65. I'd do that and spend the rest on a microphone or a ring light

@DeployJeremyАй бұрын
@@amorebearry they are pretty similar. Low light performance is largely a function of sensor size and I believe they both have 1/2" sensors.

Currently wondering what to pick up USED. A Webcam imo is something that kinda isnt too bad buying used. I was looking at a Elgato Facecam mk1 for 50€, a Logitech streamcam for 60€ or a kiyo pro for about 80€. Its hard to tell if a used one does make sense compared to a newer one at the same pricepoint because Noone is comparing used vs new when it comes to webcams. For example a new C920 is basically the same as a used elgato facecam. Or a Anker C200 is also basically as much as a Elgato Facecam Mk1 used. All I want is decent 1080p60
