i think the defense changes are a good idea but still really hoping they go with something other than elemental weaknesses. arbitrarily making some enemies weak to the standard spellbook is going to make other spellbooks and powered staffs just feel less interesting in my opinion. especially since standard spellbook spells are so similar to begin with. would much rather see 3 magic damage subtypes like melee/ranged will have, and all magic attacks can fit into them. maybe even have earth/water/fire spells each have a type, and let air be sorta typeless, rolling against the average of the target's type resistances. and if we really want to make the standard spellbook more interesting, i think the fact that it's the only one with curses is the way to go. make curses actually useful. alternatively make each element have its own effect, like ancient spells do. burn DoT is in the game now, make fire spells do that. give earth a higher max hit, and water a chance to delay opponent's attack or something. straight up 50% accuracy and damage is so boring

If their 'HD' is 'add shadows everywhere', I already know it's not gonna be popular. OSRS players love the bright colors and simple textures that come with it. HD water texture and animation smoothing is very welcome, though. Also have some more non-interactable critters like a squirrel running past you and disappear into a tree.

The Magic changes are fine, but the Range changes are super cringe. I can't imagine choosing a throwing knife over of ballista, because an enemy is (somehow) weaker to a throwing knife than a javelin launched by a big ass crossbow. If im understanding the ranged changes right, there are situations where a ranged weapons ammo type would be "more effective" than the ranged weapon itself. I.E., pull the darts out of the blowpipe, and just throw them.... because reasons.

@@troopysnacks Does it really bother you that much? I mean this whole game is predicated on costs and charges. Gp, runes, potions, scales, shards, keys, splinters, ammunition, etc. If you want to do a big grind or intense combat whether you’re a normie or an iron, you have to have the supplies. It’s been this way for over 20 years. The harsh stamina system encourages you to unlock teles and eventually build a high level poh. It makes the wilderness more dangerous. It adds a layer of skill to combat. Yeah, I’d rather just sip stamina pots. I’m fine with that.

So I’ll use another example.. the better you are at cooking.. the less you burn food….. see where this is going?

God alignment idea is terrible. They should not put that in the game. It’s so unnecessary. There’s so many other things they could add into the game that would be awesome. Why not gods wars 2 or some pvp battlegrounds or arenas. Or even add a bunch of uniques to all the god wars bosses. New items. Why not a bandos helm? Or zammy robes from kril new bis mage/pray robes like proselyte but for mage .. I dunno I’m just typing as I’m thinking but there’s so much you can add to the game and definitely not god alignment prayer and sailing skill. Like why can’t we explore the sea and go to different islands with content, why does it need to be a skill to grind ? Just make it explorable anyways with activities to do

Then I moved to another city because of a job offer (where I still work) and there is no good swimming hall in this city.
