Bret & Lex could've had a feud over the WWE title, but noooo, despite booking a babyface champion vs babyface champion "Winner Takes All" in the WrestleMania 6 main event between The Ultimate Warrior & Hulk Hogan. Vince could've booked a babyface champion vs babyface challenger between Bret Hart & Lex Luger on a future Monday Night Raw episode in 1994 or a pay-per-view.

No disrespect to Backlund, because his heel run was great and I think they could've ran longer with him as champion than beating Bret and then losing to Diesel 3 days later. But that Backlund was 3 years older than Savage at the time yet Savage was deemed "too old", then Vince brought back Roddy Piper, Jake Roberts, etc. over the next couple years anyway shows how petty Vince could be. It is kind of funny how the 3 WrestleMania X headliners (Bret, Luger and Yokozuna) would all be in the opening match in consecutive years, Bret at X, Luger at XI and Yoko at XII.

Savage shouldve faced Ramon. Ramon was inserted into the Flair/Savage feud but to my knowledge Savage/Ramon never had a televised match- they had a dark match. Ramon/Savage wouldve been much better than Ramon/Backlund. Ramon wasnt a face yet. I know WWF wanted to go younger but not sure why they passed on a Ramon/Savage feud when Savage later had a feud with Crush

That match with Scott Hall was the beginning of the end for Stone Cold as an active wrestler. Going into that match, he was dissatisfied with the creative direction of his character. The last straw for him was when they wanted him to put over Brock Lesnar in a throwaway match on free television. Austin was willing to put over Brock but wanted to do it on a pay per view with a proper build to the match.

Since y'all wanna tall about WrestleMania falls from grace, Now's a good time to discuss the fact that Every WrestleMania that ends in 0 sees a vanilla midget given the World Title, Only for it to not amount to anything ratings wise. Bret Hart + WrestleMania X = Low ratings. Chris Benoit + Eddie Guerrero + WrestleMania XX = Low ratings. Daniel Bryan + WrestleMania XXX = Really low ratings (i.e. the massive ratings decline). And finally, Cody Rhodes + WrestleMania XL = Possible low ratings (not that anyone's really watching anyway). Point being: Vanilla midgets don't draw... But I hear big sweaty guys do! 😁
