@@imcallingjapan2178 OK as you clearly don't have a Masters like I do in Creative writing for Film and Television and actually work in TV... you obviously don't properly understand the terminology. I will attempt to educate you unless you are only interested in Trolling. Plot pacing is part of the construction of the script, and bad writing is where the dialogue is poor. There is a clear difference that we are taught as part of a degree. You can have an excellently written script that is let down by poor plot pacing or editing and direction. Chibnall tends to have pointless dialogue (poor writing), and clumsy plot pacing that leaves the resolution to the last 5 minutes. Bad production values are primarily to do with the show runner... and the show runner is... Drum Roll Please... Chris Chibnall! so it is his responsibility. You are clearly not aware of that. Example: Rubber frog and an entire episode featuring Sea Devils. Perhaps before you spout off criticising others you should do some research and learning so that you don't sound so ignorant and rude when someone is trying to help you. Please put more effort in. I actually love Jodie Whittaker as the Doctor and wish she had had some decent scripts so she could have showed her massive talent.

Anyway Unlike you I have a Masters Degree in Writing and work in TV. You are helpfully armed with your utter Ignorance. Bad writing is unnecessary dialogue and exposition as well as sentence structure as just two examples. Plot pacing in the end product is due to a number of things... from editing to script construction. This may not be due to the writer and can be due to the director/editor. they are two different things. But you don't know that due to the aforementioned ignorance. Sloppy production values have nothing to do with the writer... so amusingly you are correct! (I'm putting this down to blind luck.) However it does have everything to do with the person given the title of SHOWRUNNER. Christopher Chibnell was the showrunner of Doctor Who. So he was ultimately in charge... so it was his totally his responsibility on writing, plot pacing and production values... and why he got paid the big $. But you seem ignorant of this as well. So well done 0/3 Please put more effort in.

Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell was a brave attempt at filming a huge fantasy novel - reminiscent of the Gormenghast teleseries. Part of the problem is that they are filmed without the sense of humour, which was evident in both of the source novels.

Was not a fan of soaps, so not a fan of eldorado. But I do think Beeb did not give it a chance, it needed bedding in and a little character pruning and it would have worked.

I enjoyed Space Cadets, and Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell. Apart from that I have no opinion, except that I remember the fanfare surrounding the launch of Eldorado. I also remember ITV's Albion Market, a few years earlier... similarly (and mercifully) short-lived, but with presumably a much lower budget.

I’m sure the Eldorado set had no plumbing. So the set was littered with portaloos. Also, I remember the audio was horrendous. Again, something to with how the set was built.

So stupid that she flew to Prague to accept the spoof Campaign to Unify The Nation award, - look at the acronym - she had to declare bankruptcy after losing a libel suit and has now decamped to the USA. I haven’t seen the video yet but I think Camelot and the Mathew Horne and James Corden show will be in here for some reason. I know they were and highly anticipated but ended up flopping I did like Camelot though didn’t go too much on the latter show which is funny because I really like Mathew Horne I love him and Gavin and Stacey and bad education .
