I really needed to hear that #10. I just fucked up the audio on my next video and it’s not something I can just re-record. Was really demoralizing to listen back to it and realize what happened. But I’m not gonna let it affect me negatively. I’m just gonna roll with it and learn for the next time. That’s all you really can do sometimes. “It’s not about how hard you can hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.”

Adobe makes a free browser based app for podcasters that sweetens your audio up. I had the wrong settings on a video and the audio was a wreck. Way too hot. That salvaged it to where it was at least listenable. Hoping it’ll help you out. ❤

Very well summarized. As I am myself in this journey since 9 months now I really can agree on nearly everything you say although my thoughts on the subject of “don't blame the algorithm” would now be a little more nuanced. I am a person who always tries to find out first and foremost what I might have done wrong. In all situations in life! My experience with the KZbin algorithm after exactly 35 uploads is easy to summarize: Seems to work okay but very regularly leaves me wondering: this current behavior just doesn't make sense based on the available statistics! Leads me to the conclusion: It's not always the creator's fault when the algorithm does things or spontaneously DOES NOT DO things. In such cases, you simply have no choice but to abandon a video and concentrate on the next one. Sad but true...

Thank you. I just started in August and I'm proud of what I've learned in such a short time but I'm pretty hard on myself. However, I've learned that sometimes the videos I think are bangers get negative views and some videos I put out that I think are dog shit end up with my most views lol. I'm learning to not take myself and this industry so seriously, if they come they come.

I just wanted to say, brother, everything you shared in this video is absolutely spot on. I've learned many of these lessons myself over time, and the networking advice really resonated with me. Building genuine friendships and groups where you can truly connect, instead of viewing people as just a means to gain influence, is where the real value lies. Most people need to hear these tips, but many don't take action and end up making mistakes, which can sometimes be a good thing. One thing I've been learning recently is how important consistency is. It's tough juggling different things, but in the end, staying consistent is key. For some of us, growth takes time, but ultimately, it's all in the hands of the universe.

👍 I see a lot of people in KZbin Facebook groups saying that you should never delete or block people that comment negative things on your videos. They say because it will help your numbers. I disagree with that. I believe that you should Delete and Ban Toxic people as soon as possible. I think you should keep your Community/Comment Section clean and family friendly.

I know have going on 8k subs and 1.8 million combined views and make almost the same amount of money i do from working my job. I never came into this expecting anything and it just happened for me. In my mind EVERYONE should have a channel they upload there opinions and gameplay on and dont ever expect anything from it in return. But if it does happen. Congratulations 🎉 thats what worked for me.

Awesome video, love your honesty, this has been motivating. Glad this video was pushed out to me. I especially resonated well with your 2 points about doing it because you love it and dont expect anything, and about haters. I have been dealing with haters, even if I am literally making a video about a game for entertainment. Im so over it now, there will always be another. I just block them now, no shts given. Anyways, I subbed and hope to see more videos such as this in the future. mad respect, sending positive vibes your way.

Awesome video. Especially the bit about not stressing over your equipment - just make sure you can be seen and heard, and don't worry about the rest. Watching Peter McKinnon and crew, you start to think that's the new benchmark - but there's so many people I'm just happy to "hang out with" in their office or lounge cos what they have to say is interesting. And that's enough. Like catching up with an old friend or making a new one. I'm new to your channel, but loving all your content! Oh, and the thing about the haters... I'm going to remember that. So far, I'm little - no trolls yet - but you're right - no one's holding a gun to your head to just sit and take the abuse. Like we're meant to be above it or something. I don't need that crap in my life! lol

@FreedomAndPeaceChrisАй бұрын
It's a dumb idea to think that it doesn't. An impression is expensive real estate. Every impression is like an ad for your channel. Why would KZbin give you quality impressions if you haven't proven yourself yet? There are leagues on KZbin. Leagues for viewers and leagues for creators. And you get impressions from viewers that are in the same league as you. Meaning if you have a few subscribers, a few views, a few watch hours, then you'll get cheap impressions from viewers with short attention spans, because KZbin doesn't want to waste an impression from a quality viewer on you. It's not hate or malice, it's basic math.

so I started seriously a little over a month ago. I have been grinding so hard. I do a 20-25 min video everyday and one short. I don’t think this is smart for most channels but it seems to be working for me. I’ve gained 975 subs and 6800 watch hours. That’s not a lot by any means but I’m happy to see the hard work paying off. I’m really hoping this momentum keeps going forward. Everyone keep grinding it will all pay off.

Just remember as well. If you quite now then ask why did you start? Take brakes is one thing but full on quite then why did you start? If you quite then why started the journey? if this what you wanted you have to find you're own grove to handle the ship. Content is the ship and the one at the helm of the ship is one who is the content creator, That is all i can say throw in one of my cents of wisdom. Rest is true, now yes networking is good but do know who you can network and those who are just there just blow smoke and mirrors. I ran into that and learned. Failure is progress to success, that is all i can say for me.
