Apart from Lajja Shankar, Ashutosh Rana also did a marvellous job in Dushman as Gokul. Dont know why dude didn't appear in that many films. Dude had the talent to go down as the top 10 actors in bollywood ever. Also, Prashant Narayanan in Murder 2, SRK in Anjaam should have been honourable mentions atleast

Gabbar laid the blueprint for all mainstream villains. If you tried to write a character like that today it would easily be deemed as over the top or cringe but its the actor who gave it such grittyness that no else will even try to emulate what he did. If we look at sholay itself, the whole movie is what the modern masala commercial film looks like, gotta give massive credit to the writer and screenplay they were wayy ahead of their time

Ranvijay Singh palyed by Irrfan Khan happens to be the villain star of Hasil. His nuances and expressions and body language were top notch. Watched the movie many times for only this character. Audiences always look forward for the scenes in which he had this iconic presence overpowering all other actors. He was one of the best actors happened to Indian film industry.

He was a legend and I wonder how you didn't find the versatility in his acting. Put him in any role: Villainous, comic or character he would do it in the best way possible. And did you forget her role in Indiana Jones? Perhaps he is the first Indian actor to act in some big Hollywood movie and attracting someone like Steven Spielberg needs a lot of talent.

Reason why ritesh's performance in Ek Villain is so terrifying is because the character is well written to portray him as being just an ordinary guy who had enough of people around him and finally snapped. On top of that Ritesh's physique and looks are also like that of your typical indian guy you run into everyday .
