When i have to build like a spaceship, or something in the air. I just take the Kevin Island Map, Delete the islands and just start from there. Its way more easy then to spawn a big island. And you spare so much!!! Memory on it so try and do that some more.

When I try to make a battle royale I use the Kevin island map and delete them. Doing that allows you to make the map completely custom! (Pro tip!) If you are making a map using the little thin square part of the shark, brown, or Gray cliff gallery. You can size it all the way up, use grid snap 8, and make seamless terrain. Great for if you want simple terrain. Btw @Mustard Plays Can you make a live stream with your brother Donald for like a Q&A or request for fortnite? Just an idea.

To go along with the lighting, i think time of day also can make ur builds look better with a sunset/ sunrise especially with good graphics

I'm Having some issues with lighting on my map. I make the map as dark as I can (without making it too dark) but when I start a match and die the map switches to being completely day time and very bright. It only happens when I die and respawn tho. Idk why it's happening. Anybody got any ideas??

I had this same issue but what fixed it for me, is to resize the device to its biggest and then turn on the zone to 100 100 100, it should cover the map and if you put it at the center and should hopefully fix your problem

One thing is planning. It can be boring but it's pretty good to plan (I don't mean making a whole blueprint). This ties into the wasted detail part I was making a map, not knowing what game mode it would be... I made a *zonewars city.* I made the city with lots of detail...lots and lots of details outside the map too... but when I decided it would be a zomewars I had lots and lots of stuffs outside the map (literally wasted memory)... the problem with that is people would be busy fighting and the storm would be there meaning you wouldn't really see anything.

I watch all these videos but I’m so hilariously bad at going through with finishing a map. I find it so hard to do things that are insanely time consuming. I’m trying to make a Christmas map for me and my friends before Christmas and I don’t even know if I’ll be able to finish it with a month to do it. I can't really do the build your own parts tip because i only have made 1 creative map and I'm working on my second, so im not that good at building. but i do use prefabs and I think they'll turn out well with them. but i've been using a trick i thought of the merge more than one prefab to make it look custom.
