what a great lesson - just like your other ones. very good. just want to add to your explanation of the diminished chords in that whatever 4 notes are being played can be used to name the chord. so for instance in the key of C the C# dim chord can also be called G dim, E dim and Bb dim. this is very useful to people (like me) who like to play diminished chords on the D, G, B and high E strings. its easier to know where you are - the age old guitar problem - by looking at the E string. hope you get what i'm saying. love your lessons.

hey, man, I found this video to be super helpful one of the very very few actually helpful soul chord videos on yt, i don't know about other people but I would love to 2 variations for every chord with 1 variation having a root on the E string ad another variation with a root o the A string, and would love to know about which chord types go well with other chord types to make song writing easier

making songwriting easier? now there's a thing! to help a little i'd say that just get to know every chord in all the most common keys. and then explore a few variations like changing some of the majors to minors when you are noodling around. then perhaps try a substitute chord. that might suggest a melodic idea. its worked for me a few times. but good songwriting is rarely easy. good luck
