If you don't think this post has any thing to with Northern Soul then you've failed year one of your apprenticeship. There's so much more to Northern soul than a handful of years in the 70s, those with an open mind or who's attended Northern events for a few decades following the close of the Casino can put your right.

I just want to point out, that Google may be your friend ( mine it isn't), but it writes loads of BS too - just like wikipedia as well! Just because Google sais so doesn't mean it's true!
