I really don't like to critique anyone's videos because I don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. But....While I really like when you are all dressed up (hair and makeup perfect) to make a video but I LOVE when you get all down and dirty and nitty gritty to do a project. And you're just so funny when you get in there and go after the dirt or smells or whatever. It's so REAL. Thank you for being you.

Love these! Another one that I love is to use baby oil on stainless appliances and bathroom and sink fixtures to give them a nice shine and to help repel dust. I will also use a mixture of baking soda and a couple drops of an essential oil (use an old parmasean cheese container for easy sprinkling) on my carpets. Same process, vacuum first, sprinkle the mixture and let it sit for about 30 minutes and then vacuum well. Leaves carpets feeling refreshed. For a non-toxic way to clean hard water stains, mix baking soda, dawn and vinegar into a paste. Scrub it on shower walls, tubs, etc. and let sit for anywhere from 30 min to an hour and you'd be amazed at how the rust starts dripping off the walls once you start scrubbing!

Add a 1 part cornstarch to 2 parts of your carpet baking soda/essential oils mixture ratio. I always mist with a little water before. The cornstarch helps lift the stains to the surface so when dry you can vacuum. I’ll have to try the baby oil idea 💡 I’ve used wood furniture cleaner like Orange Glo with great results 😁

Also, if you’re handy, you can buy secondary lint catchers you can apply to your dryer ducting in your wall. It’s a little box with its own lint trap and has a little door so you can empty it regularly. It’s surprising how much makes it past the dryer’s own trap.

Have you tried boiling dishwashing liquid in your pan? You put a generous amount of liquid in your pan. Ad a little bit of water and let it boil for about 5 to 10 minutes. You can scrape the bottom with a spatula of necessary. Rinse with water and for me that always works. Good luck Love from Germany

I use my hardwood floor steamer (fluffy pad removed) on my mattresses after vacuuming then add baking soda, let it dry and vacuum again. My steamer I got at Goodwill for $1.50, it has a rectangular mop head with a detachable full cover so when you take the cover off the plastic slides fairly decent just don’t press too hard or you might snag your mattress. I also use my full size dyson vacuum vs the handheld attachment. Love your channel ❤️

I think I tried a similar one on a frying pan but no paper towel & I heated it up & it worked. Mine was just vinegar but I think heating it was key. Also I have a product I swear by Ive been using it for almost 20 yrs, Can Tire sells it it's called Peek..its in the household cleaners section. I use it on my taps & anything chrome. The first time I used it...my kids thought I bought a brand new faucet! Just put a dab on...rub it all over wait a few minutes then polish❤ Perfect for your rental 🏠.

Love the dryer vent appliance. I have a long dryer vent brush but the vacuum attachment would be much better. Able to get more lint out not push it down. The toaster cleaning is also practical and keeps away pests. People forget about those crumbs. I turn toaster upside down too. I use baking soda for a lot of things. I ran out of water softener pellets a few times during the pandemic and I have hard water. Adding some baking soda to bath and kitchen sink keeps the suds working. I keep the used baking soda from fridge and freezer under kitchen sink for your method of freshening drains. Works great. Love your cleaning attention to details and the failure reports too.

Thank you for sharing some great cleaning hacks. Try lemon and salt on your pan. I know this combo cleans copper bottoms really well so it may work on your pan. Cut a lemon in half and rub one half of the lemon all over the inside of your pan then sprinkle salt all over and run it in. Let it sit for 10 or 15 mins. Then see if removes the stains. Hope it works. 😊

Leave out the baking soda en just stick to salt and lemon juice - it cleans your copper right up. I just used it today on some ornamental pieces. Just leave the mixture on for a bit and clean with water and dish soap. End result: clean, shiny copper! You could try boiling the mixture with a bit of water in your frying pan so the tarnish comes off. I haven't got any copper pans myself so I haven't tried this, but it's an old trick a family member always used. Also: hi from the Netherlands, love your channel! :) ❤️

Excellent tips! I'm sorry to say but I don't think you'll ever get that saucepan looking like new again IF it has the copper effect coating like I think it does. These pans are more of a fashion/fad item than they are a functional piece of cookware with longevity. Our experience with ceramic saucepans that were all the rage some years ago was that the "ceramic" coating very quickly split at the point which gets highest heat. The pans themselves and the finishes are quite flimsy and don't stand up well to regular use. Food and grease inevitably get trapped in/under the cracked coating and then burns to form what appears to me, to be just like those marks on your pan. They are IN the coating and unless you strip the pan back to bare metal, you won't get those out. Perhaps your pan is different but I just wanted to encourage you that you may not be doing anything wrong at all when trying to clean or maintain it! We tried everything before we realised it was in the pan's coating (we had to return the first pan and the exact same thing happened to the second). Once the finish had split, it ceased to be non-stick! This is one of the reasons why we're making the move over to cast iron, you can literally explode them and they'll still work! xx

I also used to put baking soda down my drain. My plumber recently warned me against it. He said it can actually cause clogs! He says to put dish soap down the drain; the enzymes will break up fats. Wash it away with hot water after a few minutes. He suggested putting a dribble of soap down drains before long vacations as well.

For the frying pan, try boiling water on the pan in the stove then slowly add baking soda. You’re going to see the magic in a couple of minutes.

I was surprised that there was a hack for cleaning glass with wax paper. I'd assume it wouldn't work since wax would just smear onto the glass. In the old days newspaper was often touted as a good cleaner but that was before they changed to vegetable inks. I'd think parchment paper, known as greaseproof paper when I was young, might be a better substitute. But, the best thing I've found for windows, both inside and out, is a short handled squeegee and warm soapy water. No product other than dish soap or a little detergent and a cloth to wipe up water drips on the window ledge. The mesh on the sponge helps with bird poop on the outside of the windows too. We recently replaced an ancient dishwasher and had issues with the kitchen sink draining slowly after the new one was installed. I tried the baking soda and vinegar plus hot water method but it didn't work so well, so I tried bleach, which was more effective, but in the end we had to use an augur. I think there must have been old buildup dislodged during the changeover, so nasty. Drain is draining well now.😊 It was good to see you clearing the outside of your dryer vent. We had birds trying to build nests in there and had to clear out a pile of dead grass etc. Luckily the dryer warned us but bird's nests aren't the first things you think of when you have a dryer problem! The flap doesn't stay closed so our son put some chicken wire across the entry. We'll have to keep an eye on that now for any lint buildup at the exit. Oh the joys of home ownership. 😎

I think that anyone with pets or children should own the little green cleaning machine. I have to use mine at least once a week with my cats. Spray your frying pan top and bottom with oven cleaner and let it sit in a plastic bag for at least an hour, but you can leave it over night. Rinse off, no scrubbing. I use garbage bags and put them outside and do my stove grates and oven racks too and then hose them all off.
