When Trick Willy debuts on the main roster, they absolutely have to put in the Booker voice overs.
@BainesMkIIАй бұрын
I only counted 9 tricks in the video, and half of those were the same thing (crash pads). The flaming table arguably wasn't even a trick, as the "trick" amounted to "hope you don't get burnt". The video also missed that the ladder was wood (instead just guessing it was "hollow"), offered two different explanations for the electrocution, and managed to sound uncertain that Rikishi was landing on crash pads. The video also failed to call out that the whole idea of the WWE using steel ladders in matches is itself a trick; even the legitimate metal ladders are almost certainly aluminum.
@BainesMkIIАй бұрын
For the Jeff/Edge ladder spot, the close up shot of the breaking ladder in this very video shows the unpainted wood-colored shards visible on both sides of the break. The ladder was wood that was given a good coat of black paint. Probably a wood that could be trusted to safely break, possible further gimmicked in a way that could be hidden by the paint.

Why was there a truck at ringside for the Cell match?
@cosmobubba5567Ай бұрын
In kayfabe, Vince didn't want the match to happen, so he had the truck driven to ringside to try having the cage dismantled while the match was happening.

@@MrReality I think it might’ve been a case of “Mr. McMahon wants to tear that cell down by any means necessary, let’s just grab the biggest truck that’ll fit down the entrance aisle.” And the one full of hay happened to be it. 🤷🏻♂️

I was at Raw in Columbus Ohio in 2017. The main event was Strongman vs Big Show and they broke the ring. Didn't get a dark match but it's cool knowing we were there when it happened. Since it's only happened a few times it made it special.
@tomseville2345Ай бұрын
They stopped doing post-Raw dark matches when the show went to three hours full-time in 2012, or soon after; they realised how few people wanted to stay THAT long for Vince's product at that time...

AEW are SO MUCH MORE clever…they don’t hide their tricks… Blade on camera, fall on cardboard that is coloured like steel, show air bags openly when the wrestlers land on it, miss 75-80 forearms back and forth blatantly, bumping opponents SO lightly with a lead (rubber) pipe when ‘attempting’ to ride a bike, and choreograph their gymnastics performances… Well, I guess that last one (gymnastics) is every match.
