Usually I don't recommend freezing an iced cake. But in case of situations like the function has been postponed and you've already prepared the cake, what you can do is freeze the cake by removing the decorations (if you don't remove, while thawing, the cake will be collapsed) and wrap it using a cling wrap. Otherwise, if it's not an emergency just put your cake in the refrigerator, that'll do.

Try using non dairy whipping cream, it can last a little longer. Other methods you can try are 1) Add 1 tbsp gelatin (mix it in cold water) melt for 2 minutes using double boiling setup. Once melted, let it just cool. Beat the whipping cream until soft peaks are formed and now add the cooled gelatin into the cream and beat until stiff peaks are formed. (I'll be uploading a video on this shortly) 2) Add 2-3 tbsp corn flour to 1 cup of cream (but it doesn't work all the time, but you can try and see)

For every 1cup of cake flour mentioned in your recipe, measure 1 cup of all purpose flour and then scoop out 2 tbsp out of that all purpose flour and now replace two tbsp all purpose flour with two tbsp cornstarch/cornflour. That's how cake flour is made!

I think that's because of too much addition of baking soda or baking powder. Try reducing the amounts or even consider changing the brand of your leaveners.

Hi Indhu, It has to be soft and lighter. Should taste good with great aroma with no domination of one specific ingredient (like eggs) Should not be too dry or too oily and tbh many more...
