My fave is the khaki blazer outfit because it just looks so chic and easy to style several ways. I bought the h&m sweater you have in cream but I bought it in black thinking I needed a new black sweater more than another cream one however, I think looking at it again today I might be purchasing it in cream also lol. I was a little disappointed with this year’s sales, many retailers only discounted merchandise that they haven’t been able to move, the summer flops and cheap polyester stuff. I was able to get some some current look in good quality at good discounts, but not as many as I had hoped. I think part of it is that manufacturers continually degrade their quality over time, for example, leather shoes, belts and bags have become the exception, rather than the rule, most coats are unlined, etc.

I agree that lots of the sales weren’t as good as previous years, I always prefer when brands offer a flat 20% off everything rather than old stock heavily reduced x

Kimberley. I totally agree with you about the quality of today's clothing. When I left school in 1982. Clothing and shoes were much better quality. This is the consequences and results of moving clothing manufacturing to China and other countries. Years ago we used to make her own clothing here in the UK. We had better quality control and a better quality of product offered and sold in clothing and fashion retail. This is precisely why I wanna start making my own clothes next year. I'm fed up with not getting the styles that I want in the colorways that I want. So therefore I'm going to be making my own stuff next year. I find most shoes nowadays to be exceptionally poor quality. I find flip flops the sandals to be very flimsy. Years ago when you bought a pair of flip-flops or toe post sandals. They had a nice thick strap on them and the souls very very thick and they lasted. This is why I lert leather craft in the last lockdown that happened in March. I'm going to be making all my own belts sandals and flip flops next year. I've already made a load of me home belts there better quality than the belt that I bought from a fashion retailer. The leather buying a stunning quality and will last me years. I have bought belts in the past from Dorothy Perkins Topshop Miss Selfridge River Island and and what was Jane Norman. A lot of the so-called real leather belts consist of very little real leather. A lot of the belts you buy in places like mango and Primark are stuffed full of cardboard to give them their thickness. I bought one I took one apart of found out what have they made. Cheap cheap cheap is what a lot of these shops are now. I'm definitely could be making my own clothing next year. In the past. I have bought stuff from Boohoo and I can tell you. It is not very good quality. Very thin and not very substantial in thickness either. Have you noticed that puffer coats and padded jackets and not as good and thick as they used to be? I really do think the British fashion retail in general has dropped the ball as far as quality is concerned in recent years. I agree with coats are not fully lined. The same can be said about skirts as well. No lining and poor stitching or sewing. We need to get manufacturing of clothing back to Britain. A lot better quality of garments produced. Again I agree with both of you regarding your comments. Right that's me done. Pure.

Hey Charlotte! I'd love to ask for your advice 🙈 I ordered the Mango coat in this video (the one with the "fur" collar you can take off) in both XS and S. My build is similar to yours, so XS suits me well, but the sleeves seem to be too short for me (it's not the first time I have this issue with Mango coats)... Definitely H&M is hit or miss & among the "misses," poor quality; a bit less Zara. As is obv, however, Shanna is a "lover of quality" & elegant in all she does. She def works hard to select the best pieces from each store to show us on her vids. Maybe you went into the stores w/o a plan. You also have to remember, many people can't afford the real deal.

Like I said on reply to Kimberley below. When I left school in 1982. Clothing was much better quality and last much longer. I've still got a pair of gladiator sandals I'll be wearing next year that I bought in 1982. I also own a pair of vintage Scholl wooden sandals that I bought in 1983 that's still look great. See things back then will made to last. Not the poor shoddy quality we've got today. Forty clothing about 40 or 50 years ago go was much more superior that was today. Fast fashion has got a lot to answer for. Women years ago used to make their own clothes and make their own jumpers and they lasted longer looked better and the quality was much more superior. You just bought a butterick or simplicity or burda pattern and also a Vogue pattern. Then you just cut it out out and bought some fabric. Then cut it out and then went to the sewing machine and constructed it. The answer to today's clothing problems is purchase a sewing machine and learn how to make clothing and put it all together. I have bought a pattern making book and a load of sewing books. Then I'm going to be getting on making my own clothes. I have bought a sewing machine and an overlocker along with a knitting machine. I intend putting these three machines to good use next year. I have also learnt leather craft. I will be making my own belt and sandals a long with toe post sandals and leather flip flops next year. When do you learn how to design and make your own clothes belts and Sandals and shoes. The sky is your limit. You could design clothes you want to wear. In the Styles you want to wear. In the colours you want. In the right length and fit. It's a no-brainer. If you want decent quality clothes that fit properly? You have to buy a sewing machine and an overlocker aka surger. And get on and make your own clothing. I have just taken delivery of my 5th leather split hide and I'll be making a load of my own belts. I've met quite a few already in the quality is much better than any belt of boot from a fashion house. The belts are going to be making will last me years. It's proper thick real leather hide. Got my Stanley knife ruler and hole punch gadget and making belts I'll be doing. I'm fed up with trying to find a decent white roll neck chunky knit jumper but I'm going to be making my own next year with the knitting machine that I bought. I want some nice decent cut out shoulder or may I say cold shoulder tops and jumpers. So I'm going to be making my own ones of those as well. You can run up a pair of leggings in half an hour. You can run up a pair of faux leather leggings in that short space of time as well. If you master a knitting machine? You can run up a jumper in less than afternoon and it would be better quality and last longer than you buy from Zara H&M Topshop and the like. Ladies I mean it start making your own clothes. There are plenty of resources out there to teach you you. Plenty of books available. Once you bought a sewing machine overlocker and knitting machine you would never look back. Once you've learnt how to sew and make clothes. You can upcycle old clothes. You can alter ill-fitting clothes from Fast fashion shops. You can repair clothes you've got in your wardrobe that have split or coming apart of the seam or the hem. Create your own designs and basically the sky's the limit. The choice of fabric is totally bewildering which can buy. You will not be restricted to what retailers want you to have. The quality be much better and you will know it's not be made in a sweatshop. Because it's you that will be making these clothes. You will be able to determine the quality of the product and the fit of the product. I have also bought a dressmakers dress form that I'll be learning how to drape. So the garment I'll be making will be the perfect Fit. Another good thing about learning how to make your own clothes is the following. Updating clothes you have bought years ago. Go to charity shops and do clothes transformations. In other words refashioning. It is a good sustainable way of creating your dream wardrobe. Go to to the KZbin channel of the following people. Coolirpa, Jess Dang, Madebyaya, with Wendy to mention a few. you'll be making stunning clothes in next to no time. Jess dang and coolirpa show you their patterned making process as well. Both these two awesome. seriously ladies what I've said here is the answer. Regards Pure.
