3:30 I think instead of tank levels being a theme, tanks can be a placeable element, and the awesome SM3DW tank level music can be used either as a sound effect or as a soundtrack customization. Same goes for train levels, BTW, which were also present in SM3DW, and they were the opposite of tank levels. But I don’t think any of these will be added because of out far-fetched the idea is.

Each theme should have 3 different types: Ground Day, Ground Night, and Underground. This way we can make our themes have variety even if it is the same theme. There can also be exclusions to some themes such as Airship or Athletic (sky) since they are in the air, but there could be a theme INSIDE A CLOUD for the Athletic theme underground, and a theme inside a ship for the underground Airship theme.

I had almost the same idea. But instead of combining the main themes (ground, underground, underwater, athletic, etc.) you could combine the main and secondary themes. (Grassland, dessert, beach, ice, etc.) that way you could get themes like forest ground, (forest+ground) pyramid, (dessert+uderground) volcano, (lava+underground) ghostly forest, (forest+ghost house) etc.

No Replace the mountains with the “Candyland” theme that was in some levels. As for the airships, those could be either tanks or trains. Not sure though, since I’d want to make levels based off of both concepts.

I’m personally not a fan of the candy land theme, but maybe it can replace the sky, or some elements can get replaced by candy in all themes in SM3DW. But there’s already a sky theme revealed in the coin heaven areas, and Rainbow Run has a similar theme to that of the coin heavens.

Most of these themes like towers and volcano themes you mentioned we need a special tool that switches from a certain kind to another e.g why not have outside ghost houses what you do to make the ghost theme outside is double tap on the theme and a GUI with multiple different forms of that stage will appear so we can have a castle double tap that and get towers or volcanos we also need to be allowed more sub areas and choose pipes to go to certain sub zones and increase the ground and entity limit and you've got the best Mario maker ever and expanding the number of marioplex to EVEN bigger Heights (marioplex in simple words is the amount of possible Mario maker levels for info on the number itself watch game theorys Mario maker limits or something if there's an edit it probably to change the title to help find that video)

My wish is for a "pastry theme" where everything looks like it's coming out from a confectionery . It's my favourite theme in every game. From Sim City to Fortnite (I count the ice cream guy as a pastry). And since it's so common in videogame I hope Super Mario Maker will make no exception.
