The really scary thing about Margaret is that there are people like her out there in the world! Stephen King is good at not only creating supernatural horror, but horror based in reality as well, which is just as terrifying, if not more so!

kawaii-jessica uchiha where’s the anti Muslim and hate speech? Hate speech incites violence. No where does he do that. Though you’re comment could be considered hate speech by your definition. His post was anti atheist but by calling him a Christian not you have proven to be anti Christian and spoken hate speech proving his point to be correct as well.

i like how in Stephan King books characters from one book might notice something from another book. like in dreamcatcher the characters at the final scene run across a rock that had been etched with the names of the young kids from the "It" book. totally creepy. Loved it.

King spells Pet Sematary as it is because he saw such a sign (in real life) that was created for a real pet cemetery. Obviously, the sign was created by children who didn't know the correct spelling of the word: cemetery. But King was so taken by the incorrect spelling that it created the idea for his novel. But then you should have known that, now shouldn't you have?

Margaret White is VERY underrated. There have been some great portrayals of her, but I have yet to find one that does absolute justice to the novel's version (my personal favorite version of "Carrie" is the one from 2002, with Angela Bettis) One of the reasons I love her (and Annie Wiles) is because they really could exist. True, there are probably dozens of other Stephen King characters like them, but I haven't found them yet. Some people were scared by Pennywise as children. For me, it was Gage Creed. The scene where he kills Jud Crandall was one of the most traumatic scene for me. But nothing compares to the shot of Gage's little hand poking out of the cairn of stones. *shivers*

Honestly George Stark from the dark half made me the most uncomfortable out of any of his characters. For some reason I liked him, and I scared me that I liked him because I was scared of him. Also, Percy from the Green Mile. He killed Mr Jingles and that is unforgivable

Ever heard the theory that Andre Linoge is Randall Flagg? It would make sense because they are both sorcerers and they have similar characteristics like glowing red eyes and the ability to shapeshift. They are also very similar personality wise as well.

Adam, I think you somewhat do Mr king and his quite unique antagonists a disservice with your perfunctory descriptions. I also think that Big Jim Rennie should be on this countdown, he was a big fat infuriating and often terrifying bastard.

I absolutely adore this book, and I don't understand why it seems so underrated amongst King fans. My only problem with it was how near the end he built up the little boy Patrick like he was going to do something AMAZING in the future, but I felt the pay off in the seventh Dark Tower novel was a let down.

I think you totally let out some of the really good ones?? like Cujo, the Demon from Storm of tree Century & all the monsters on Creepshow, the Mom in Sleepwalkers, the Trucks in Maximum Overdrive & definitely Jack in The Shining! as for Stephen King's crossovers...my favorites are his love for AC/DC they pop up in nearly all his books & the whole movie soundtrack for Maximum Overdrive! & there is always Marijuana reference in nearly all his books too... If ur a true Stephen king fan u already know that though! ttyl

Oh wow! Finally, someone else who lists The Long Walk as their favourite?? I never thought I'd find another who appreciated that story! It may not be like many of King's other works, but it's such an amazing idea, and despite the fact the entire story is just one long march, it is so engaging to read and impossible to put down!

@Headbanger90007 жыл бұрын
I mean, idk how much more evil you can get than Randall Flagg. The walking dude is literally a depiction of the Antichrist. King himself was inspired to write the Stand because of his readings of the book of Revelation in the bible. Tho his character changes in the Dark Tower series into a warlock, its pretty clear as to what King depicts him as in the Stand "Please to meet you Loyd, hope you guess my name" or even when the people who were brought to be crucified by Flagg and his army (Larry and I forget the others name) who say "Why cant you tell them who you REALLY are!". Cant get anymore evil than the Devil himself folks. Whether you believe in him or not, he is the embodiement of all that is evil

@MihaelLawliet017 жыл бұрын
He didn't really make them kill the adults, he preached to the children as a preacher about the God called he who walks behind the rows, not rose, but rows like corn rows. Anyway, if you think about it, he just told them things, they were the ones who killed the adults and nonbelievers.
