I believe all ice creams are divine just like this video, BabbleTop! They closed the dairy Queens location in Manhattan at 14th Street in New York. but another one in Staten Island has to close its doors until the pandemic is gone. Another well done video. It is a great tasting product but many of the flavours are too sweet for me. However, it is much better than the Soft serve at McDonalds, which tastes oily for some reason. I'm glad you mention that it is technically not "ice cream". In Canada, it is referred to as "ice milk".

Hey, BabbleTop. Big thumbs up for producing this great video (and middle finger for making me hungry in the middle of the night. HAHA Just kidding!) Sometimes my dad would raise his eyebrows and say "DQ"???? He would take me there in our T2 Volkswagen van. We usually didn't have the middle row of seats installed, so we would open the giant sunroof and just sit on the floor in the back to enjoy. It was our "personal space". Better than sitting inside. I worked in a DQ in the Cincinnati area in the late sixteens as a teen. Making Dilly Bars was my favorite thing to make. No factory made one's back then. We had 5 cent finds! Once a little boy walked up to my window and asked me if I was the Dairy Queen. I said yes. What else could I say? He was wearing a binny (?) Hat with helicopter rotors on top. He was in awe of me!! DQ is still the best. once my dad asked the neighborhood kids to rake up all the leaves of our heavily treed property. We where so happy to get a DQ at the finish. Dad bought a bag of 11 Dilly Bars for a $1. My earliest experience with the D Q was through an old gentleman who lived in our area. We had just moved from Pa. Each time he passed my sister and I he would give us a nickel each for the "creamy Whip" what beautiful memories around this happy place.

Yall need to check the machine to make sure its cooling right then, because I worked at DQ for 3 years and the banana split is the only one that really is an issue the rest of them should stay in the cup no problem. I made thousands of them and never really had an issue. And I'm in Houston where the temp gets 100°+ for 4 months out of the year

Lol my first job was at DQ when I was in highschool in Houston TX, I worked there 3 years and worked my way up. I actually worked in the same one my dad worked at when he was in highschool (same one we both went too) and I met my husband there! The soft serve is legit better than most other places, and its because of the mix they use. All employees in our part of texas are trained to do the curls just right and we do have to turn them upsidedown (at least at our location) and the cakes were so fun to make! I handled most of the cake orders by the time I left.

Ah yes! Vivid memory here! I was working on a downtown construction site in Dallas, Texas in 1976. When our thirty-minute lunchtime came, dozens of us lined up before the take-out window of the Dairy Queen across the street. When my turn finally came, I ordered a cheeseburger with pickles and onions only. No mustard, no ketchup, no nothin', just cheese, pickles and onions. When my order came up, I took a bite and discovered it was loaded with mustard. Being very young, small, and skinny, I didn't dare cut in front of these huge construction workers to return my burger, so I waited. I returned the burger, explaining the problem, then waited a bit more. When another burger was handed to me, I discovered that it was the same burger, and most of the mustard had merely been scraped off with a knife or something, and the original burger had been returned to me. By that time, my lunch break was over. Because of the thoughtlessness of one young woman, I have never spent a penny at any Dairy Queen from that day till this. Not to mention any effect my badmouthing has had among various friends, neighbors, and acquaintances after all these decades. Rot in Hell, Dairy Queen!

My favorite blizzard of all time is the pumpkin pie blizzard. I am tempted to run around my house screaming for joy because I just learned it's coming back in a few weeks with a new pumpkin cookie butter shake.
