What was so dark in Moana and other disney movies that you didn't notice? 10 Dark Moments You Wouldn't Expect In Light Hearted Disney Movies! Subscribe to our channel : goo.gl/ho3Hg6
Description:
When it comes to Disney films the first thought on your mind probably isn’t about how heinous or evil their storylines are. If you want to keep your Disney thoughts pure and clean of all evil stop watching now. If you want to learn the truth about the Disney’s underbelly stay tuned but don’t forget to subscribe because nothing screams evil louder than forgetting to subscribe. The parents of Frozen are the evilest of evil parents within the Disney franchise. They lock their lock their child up and throw away the key. A Bug’s life is not a film for the squeamish. Spoiler Alert, stop reading to avoid the ending. The way Hopper is pecked to death is too much to handle and has you squirming in your chair. The saddest opening of any Pixar film ever is by far their “Up” film. Pinocchio is some evil on a whole other level. How and why do parents find this acceptable imagery to teach children to behave otherwise they will be kidnapped, enslaved by old, white crusty, men, and turned into donkey’s so they can work the salt mines? “WALL-E” leaves us with no hope for humanity as we see our morbidly obese future. Moana’s grandmother has children unable to sleep at night with her terrifying tales. Roger Rabbit is heartless in their burning of innocent characters alive in vats of toxic waster. Mufasa is not as innocent or tragic of a death as how society treated Scar. Hunchback of Notre dame villain is ruthless for his quest of world domination. Old Yeller is a timeless tear jerking classic that without even watching it has you reaching for tissues. That’s all we have for this video. Remember to subscribe and give this video a big like. Make sure to share this with all your friends.

I was so totally expecting them to say something about that guy from Tarzan getting hung. Or Gaston falling to his doom. That was pretty dark too.

Riley Saucedo As any Pacific Islander settlement would do. You teach your kids about the gods and the stories surrounding them. Not much different than teaching about hellfire and damnation in the Bible. We also (sometimes) teach folk tales which don't always have the greatest outcomes to young children.

did you know that his real name is TAKA. in the african language spoken in the location near pride rock (im not sure i read that somewhere), MUFASA means KING and TAKA means TRASH. his parents literally named him trash. then he got a scar growing up so he changed his name, obviously. no wonder why he hated his brother lmao just the names show that the parents weren't amazing

MattyMcMaster Gaming Scar and Mufasa are siblings, but Kovu, the cub that has an actual redemption arc, is not Scar's kid. Supposedly he was just chosen to follow in his footsteps, but they had no blood relation. This much is even stated in the second movie.

I remember watching "Hunchback" as a teen and feeling really uneasy with the lust Frollo had for Esmeralda. He Hated her for being a "thieving gypsy" but secretly lusted for her so much that he concocted the rational that somehow SHE tainted HIS mind with sinful yearnings so he then tries to kill her! Extremely unsettling...

@Anyienk9
@Anyienk9 7 жыл бұрын
And what does we know about that? We only know what Maui say, not the true story. They may have had some circumstances that made it impossible to raise a child, it may not even have been his own mother that threw him away. We only assume it since that´s what Maui thinks. When it comes to the grandma story we already know it is true because we have seen it.

Luna Pikazard Yes, Taka. The Disney novel series The Lion King: Six New Adventures, which was released in 2007, covers some of the back story of the 1994 film The Lion King. In the first book, A Tale of Two Brothers, Scar's original name is revealed to be Taka, which means "dirt,", "trash," or "want" in Swahili.

I think that people get butt hurt too easily now days. I absolutely loved Roger Rabbit. Every one forgets that a curse word is just a word, and that while words may be our most powerful weapon, that they don't have any power over you unless you let them. Movies like some of these shown here teach kids valuable lessons about the world. While kids need to be kids as long as they can, they also need to know that the world isn't all sunshine and rainbows. Kids will be in for a rude awakening if they are led to think that all the way up until adulthood.

Frolo from the Hunchback wasn't "guilt-tripped" into not killing the baby. The priest frightened Frolo into sparing the child's life. The priest 'put the fear of God in him' as some say, by telling him that the only way to redeem himself (and thusly, avoid eternal damnation for murdering an innocent mother seeking sanctuary) would be to spare the child and raise him as a form of penance. So really the movie was only emphasizing that Frolo has no redeeming qualities and only really cares about himself and his own righteousness.

I always felt Elsa and Anna's parents handled their oldest daughters powers in a very bad way. They should have helped her learn control. By forcing herself to not feel, it was obvious that Elsa was going to lose control of her powers. So her parents caused her to have a very sad life.

well since the movie is based in the 1840s it was just one decade after when we got the modells of "fix the enviroment to suit the disabled person" but before the 1830s we had the "Lock-them-away-if-we can't fix-them" society, so that the parents were doing what they thought was the right thing.

Well it would be a good thing to teach parents and children about such situation if they would make it more obvious at the end of the film that there should be love in her life, and that she would be accepted. There was not enough pressure in that "Love" thing and kids might really get the wrong idea D:

I feel like screen rants writers are living up to their name, by "ranting!" They know the intent of the films is not to traumatize children. Disney films are overly lighthearted, and need a more sullen counterbalance point in order to leave their protagonists with obstacles to overcome. If you feel like Screen Rant is fishing for views, it's because they are! Their theses are incredibly unoriginal! Why would anyone want to subscribe and listen to this Sunday School talk again?

None of these things are even traumatizing. They're using the wrong word to describe these scenes. When I was a kid, none of these things bothered me. Besides, Disney should make some animated movies for an older audiences once in awhile. Though I'm not sure how that has to do with Sunday school?

The Black Hole was by far the most messed up Disney movie. **SPOILERS** For one, Maximillian the robot shoves a rotating blade through doctor Durant's chest who starts choking on his own blood as his insides are ripped up, then flings his body in to an electrical panel. Then in the ending, doctor Reinhardt is fused with Maximillian, imprisoned for eternity within his evil creation, standing atop a mountain overlooking a literal burning hell after going through the black hole. That said, criminally underrated movie in general.

In the Hunch Back or Notre Dame, Frollo basically tells Eameralda that he can be with her, or burn at the stake...Theres a whole song about his obsession with her, where he's caressing her scarf, and saying "God have mercy on me, God have mercy on her, but she will be mine or she will burn". Also in the beginning of the movie you can hear him torturing his old captain for not following his orders. There are a lot of other disturbing things about this movie... including Frollo's behavior towards Quasimodo

I have never really thought of "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" as a light-hearted movie. It is actually quite a dark movie. Secondly, I have seen Old Yeller several times although commonly my mother wouldn't let us watch it because of the ending. Also, talking about terrifying scenes in Disney movies, how bout the Night on Bald Mountain sequence in the original Fantasia. I didn't see this film till after I was an adult but I am willing to bet if I had seen it as a kid I would have had nightmares about mountains turning into the devil and such. It hold quite a dark theme.
