I doubt the first theory is even true because Fred was shown in one episode at home and cooking eggs and bacon for Shaggy and Scooby. Regarding Ed, Edd, n Eddy my mom didn’t like me watching the show when I was little, but Ed, Edd, n Eddy’s parents were only shown but offscreen as only their hands or other parts of the body were shown but not their faces. Tom’s owners were shown in several episodes but the owner with the short temper was the most hated character in the show and more crueler than the characters in the series

Alice Liddel's parents eventually didn't want the Reverend Charles Dodgson (a.k.a Lewis Carroll) spending too much time in Alice"s company. It's true that many Victorian writers were obsessed with "the cult of the little girl" which is less dodgy than it sounds. Carroll was using the opiod known as Laudanum but it was cheaper than alcohol and just about every writer, poert and artist of the era was off their tits!

The “Vietnam war theory” for scooby doo is actually the story line of the A-team. The “Tech” aspect of Inspector Gadget is simply imaginative creativity. Yes, Scooby-Doo was set during a depression. It was the Jimmy Carter administration. Gadget and Dr. Claw were confirmed to be the same person with the release of the Dr. Claw action figure. There's no reason PPG and SJ wouldn't have a shared universe, but to argue that Jack and Professor are the same person based on looking similar is ridiculous. 90s "Animated" Batman and Superman are also the same character. Maybe Ed, Edd, n Eddy is simply set during Summer?
