I dont believe for one second that his grandparents didnt know he was torturing her. He literally ripped her finger nails off, ripped her flesh off with his teeth and so much more. She was definitely screaming bloody murder. There's no way a 3 year old little girl could withstand that amount of pain silently. This is horrific and the fact her mother only got 18 months is a slap in the face to the poor baby girl. I'm disgusted by our justice system. The mother should have been sentenced to death as well and his grandparents should have been charged at the very least.

It’s like rebelling - in my opinion, “parents” like that feel suffocated and like a child, and get annoyed how much their parents or in-laws are around, in their business, and don’t feel like they’re in control. The only control they get is by living in shed with an abuser. It’s dumb and I get it, but when you have a child of your own and your only option is a shed with no toilet, I’d rather be suffocated by family. No partner is worth suffering for.

@@waterwednesday8807: Good. Men often hate their girlfriends' or wives' children because they remind them that the girlfriend or wife slept with someone else, even if it was a respectable marriage. Male animals will often kill babies that aren't theirs, so the closer a male human is to being like an animal the more likely this is to happen. The imbecile in this video probably relentlessly abused his girlfriend's baby without even knowing or caring what would make him want to do all this to an innocent baby.

It makes me that much angrier at Tegans "mom" If a single nurse could grab him by the throat and hold him against his will with the threat of police on their way his gf certainly had the training to do so :/ It's one thing to be abused, I understand being afraid to leave someone but she had options for her daughter and he evidently would have behaved if shown physically. If she'd done like some of our great grandmothers and threatened to kill him in his sleep with a cast iron and she kept a better eye on her daughter he probably would have kept his evil little mitts to himself 😒 I'm so thankful for that nurse being there but damn does it just put the moms lacking in clearer perspective

@@anitabonghit2758 Lets be less dramatic here. Statistics tell us that it is overwhelmingly women who are victims of DV. 7 women a day are killed by their male partners in anger. Make that 7 a month or less the other way round. Why? Because as much as the woke imbeciles think we are all the same, there are vast differences in men and women. An average man can kill an average woman with one blow. An average man has testosterone running in his veins, a woman doesn't. It makes men on average far more aggressive. Men are stronger on average. So whilst there are plenty of male DV victims, there are not nearly as many as females and only a very small percentage gets killed or rped by their female partner. Whilst I was writing this probably more than one woman just got killed by a man. Scary Fact.

Of course the first red flag was a mother taking her child to live in a decrepit, unsanitary and bedless garden shed. The mother should have been jailed for much longer for child neglect, child cruelty and abandonment. Leaving her child with a cruel, violent individual is absolutely unforgivable. The wee souls grandparents will never recover from the manner of her loss, they loved and adored her so much.

It's a shame her Mother didn't get her. The amount of the abuse and it happening over time.. no one else changed her diaper?? Changed her clothes or noticed her in pain?! @@warmlantern0000not true. Literally just watched a video where a man brutally beat his pregnant girlfriend to death in front of all three of her kids. The oldest was 12 at the time. He threatened to come back and beat her to death and called the child a b*tch for crying. He only got 22 years. AND he had numerous charges of assault and was out on bail for ATTEMPTED MURDER of a different person, when he unalived that poor woman in front of her kids. So please shut up and stop acting like men don’t get light sentences as well. Especially crimes against women and children, and people considered “low value,” like sex workers. After watching many hearings where men repeatedly get away with choking, beating, almost unaliving people, it’s ridiculous to proclaim women get away with everything. She got off light because she wasn’t physically there and she was abused also. She deserved to serve at least ten years IMO but I think because he abused her she got off lightly. And the evilness that exudes from this man is unbelievable. Mom definitely should have gotten more time though. That was not justice. Men commit most violent crimes. Overwhelmingly. Yall should be punished harder, as men are far more inclined to keep committing violent crimes. When women are proven to be the masterminds of a crime, they are actually punished HARDER than males are.

People pulled me aside with worry asking if I needed help, and staff at his school did the same for him. I fully appreciate their concern and worry, even though we were able to have a little laugh about it. (Mine came from trying to catch a baseball from directly above me - I suck at sports, lol - and I can’t specifically recall how he got his but it was from a happy roughhousing moment. We memorialized our twin bruises with a photo, but it’s a stark reminder that all too often, those bruises and injuries can mean a whole lot worse.) When that part of the video passed I said out loud "fuck off lady." I think anyone who grew up around religious people and grew up around abusers can testify to the fact that "forgiveness" is used in such a disgusting way. "Forgiveness" is such a giant cop out. What it really means is, "Well, the abuse didn't happen to me personally, so I'm not hurting so bad I'd cut contact with the abuser. It's not my desire to cut contact with the abuser anyways, so I'm going to point to the bible and convince myself and others that there is a deeper motivation behind my indifference towards the abuse, as opposed to the reality that it is selfishly beneficial to me that I change nothing about my relationship towards the abuser." That lady knew about the abuse and did not want to report her family, she probably even pretended to her son that she did not notice. I dont feel empathy towards her just because she's an old lady, she's trash too.

So I looked into that myself, because there were two (I think granddad was there too?) capable adults living on the property, adults that people close to them, as well as members of their broader community, said they'd trust leaving a child in their care without question. At the very least, granny knew that there was a child living out back. She said as much. She would even go to check in now and then, but he never let them come in. And, as was stated in this video, she heard him yelling at the little one to not answer the door. So I dug deeper. It turns out, grandma was scared of her grandson, so she just did what he said without making a single ounce of fuss. I don't know about you guys, and I certainly don't know what it's like to be an old person with a volatile grandson, but calls for wellness checks are anonymous. She should have called the police. Teghan's mother Helen Reyes knew her child was being abused long before going away for army training. That makes her equally responsible and should have received a life sentence! As for Jonathan Richardson's mother, she's deranged! Knowing what he did to little Teghan and saying she loves her son? Had this been my own son, I'd declare him dead and buried! Also his grandparents indirectly contributed to the miserable conditions little Teghan was living in and her death. A shed with no kitchen, no bathroom. What made them think this was okay for a child? I don't believe that they were unaware of the abuses going on living so close to that shed.

I have a 3 yr old granddaughter, i couldnt watch past "when i have to pee, i will tell someone.". Evil exists in this world and the cycle perpetuates down the generations. Im not saying this is the rule, there are exeptions. A person with a normal upbringing can be a monster and vice versa, BUT when trauma is inflicted on a child it damages their minds. If there are multiple children affected that go on to be bad parents, and their children are affected. It becomes the way it is today. Ive seen it in my own family. I feel so shattered at the amount of child harm stories there are. There shouldnt be any....it shouldnt be something that happens. The amount of times somebody could have done something is mind blowing in most cases. I personally would have been through the door whwn he said not to open it. Even if i was scared. I would have had more chance than a little girl. So sad😢 xx

In a perfect world, they would. But, of course, in a perfect world, things like this would never happen. Some 'people' cause so much harm that no conventional punishment could ever be adequate. The saddest part of this story to me was that this woman had a choice. She had several choices, and made the wrong choice every time. If she wanted to be with a man more than wanting to be a mother, she could have let her daughter stay with the people who loved her and would have provided for her and kept her safe. That was a choice she had, but a choice she ignored. She was selfish and stupid and wanted it all. Now she has nothing and i hope she suffers with guilt every day for the rest of her life. This story reminds me of a quote that goes something like this: "every child deserves a parent, but every parent does not deserve a child."

Men who beat up women and children are often sociopaths and they don't care about changing. They have no conscience and are often perpetually angry. Psychopaths are more cold-blooded and not angry, but they could still cold-bloodedly kill a child or spouse for insurance money or to keep a romantic partner who doesn't like children. Dianne Downs is an example of that; she shot all three of her children because she had a rich boyfriend who broke up with her because he didn't want to marry someone with all that baggage. One child died, another is in a wheelchair for life, and the third recovered but may have some lingering problems with one hand and one leg from being shot in the head. Fortunately, they were adopted by one of the prosecutors. She never admitted she did it and has shown not one ounce of concern for her children.

The ones that only care about themselves and their lives, the ones that only live for their men and then there are the ones that give up everything for their kids. This little girl’s mom was the second one, only cared about having a guy with her and her daughter wasn’t even an afterthought. If I had a child that grew up to be a monster despite my best efforts and they did something like that, I would disown them. Children are loud, you can definitely hear them. I frequently hear the giggles and laughters of the children in my apartment complex. These people knew what was happening to her, they just didn’t care cus their precious boy couldn’t be told no. I bet they never disciplined that SOB.
