10 Day Trend 28/02/2024 -Will it be cold next week? - Met Office Weather Forecast

This is the Met Office UK Weather forecast for the next 10 days, dated 28/02/2024.
It will turn much colder across the UK on Friday with a chance of snow for some. However early next week there are signs of high pressure moving in bringing milder, drier and sunnier weather for some. But how long will it last?

That'll be the gulf stream; at least it's warmer than here in The Fens with the wind coming in from the north east. We're only drier and warmer from April to November

Thanks Annie - Really helpful 10 Day Trend. I was just wondering, do you (and Aidan and the Alex's and the team) ever do retrospective comparison analysis of the 3 computer models (UKMO, GFS & ECMWF) to see which one was most accurate on a given forecast?

What a joke this Met office is. Monday, the weather on Wednesday in the south will have no rain during daylight hours. Tuesday, the weather on Wednesday in the south will have no rain during daylight hours. "Wednesday" AM the weather on Wednesday in the south will have no rain during daylight hours. Started work, Ripped out large window and concrete plinth with the intention to Brick and block said hole. knocked up a gauge, then the rain started (at 12:15 hrs) Thanks for your expertise. Can you recommend a platform that can tell me a 24 hour forecast, Accurately? Ten day forecast?

Omg , how rubbish is this , look guys put the temps on the map , tell us where the cold/hot is , rain snow or even nice weather is , your current maps and charts still leave me guessing, sort it out , MAKE IT BASIC for us normals who just want to know , can I survive the cold , will I get wet when I go out ... WHATS THE WEATHER! Highs , lows .... put the temps , warnings and actual readable news on the displays, PLEASE 🙏, it's amazing in summer you put the temps up almost bragging where they are , winter (MORE IMPORTANT DUE TO BEING POOR AND RISK OF FREEZING TO DEATH) You insist on this half assed lack of actual information. Sort it out MET office
