ADVENTURE IS MADE

Күн бұрын

Join me as I head out into the backcountry of Algonquin Park on a 10 day canoe camping trip with my buddies Eze, Paul and Fred.
This is part 1 of the trip, which sees us paddle and portage through small lakes and rivers, until we reach the biggest lake of the trip before getting caught in a thunderstorm and some pretty bad weather.
Hope you enjoy the video.

My son was in Algonquin for a week in the middle of September, he said it rained pretty much the entire time he was there. But it's still camping in Algonquin, which is still better than doing most anything else.

Bloody awesome Matt. I love the focus on the adverse conditions and gruelling portages we experienced. It certainly wasn't a fair weathered trip but we did have some good days which made it all worth it. It was a real pleasure tripping with you guys. Looking forward to re-living the trip in your next video.

Would you say the bigest game changer for you , compare to Scotland , was to camp in a region where animals can actually be a potential danger ? That series starts pretty well , hope you had a great time in our country , looking forward for the next episode, thank's . Oh, by the way , I like how you pronounce "portage" , the same way we do in Québec , the french speaking province next to Ontario 🙂

So the first couple of nights I was a bit weary tbh, but I knew the chance of seeing one would be low. Just had to make sure all our food was hung up etc on a night. But they are timid animals and are generally scared of humans. It was more the moose. I was worried about coming crashing through camp in night lol. Cheers mate 👍🏻
