I spent some time at Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove WI. in the early 80's. There were some really tired race cars around back then. I saw 440 cars with slicks come in on trailers that ran in the low 14s!!! The new cars were even slower. There was a restored 1966 HEMI Belvedere, bone stock, not even headers as I recall running 13.6's on street tires. That was impressive. By the early 90's things were getting better, even the tired 440's had been rebuilt and I believe Indy had aluminum heads out by then. I believe I saw a full size Plymouth Wagon running in the high 12's. It was cool to see. I did not have the money for aluminum heads.

Good luck with Drag Week! Good to see Mopar represented. I'm building a 53 Plymouth Cranbrook Coupe drag and drive car. Hope to see you next year!

just a thought i would cut the line that come out of your fuel pump cut and flair it and thick wall fuel line with double screw claps so your not pinching you fuel line with that bend

@@theraif I got a pinch spot up by the regulator too. I'm gonna get with the Holley guys and science out some better connections for those points. Thanks for the heads up.

Did you put the chain on the engine or was it on when you got it?

@@DennyRobinson-k5s it was on when I bought it. The mount was ripped in half.
