Your videos, how to videos with explanations benefit both amateur and novice pilots are delivered in such a simple way that a 5 year old could understand, which is exactly what I need. Taking a movement that looks awesome and breaking it down in a simple explanation and example for everyone to be able to enjoy on their own. Love it and I thank you.
@DenisBarbas3 жыл бұрын
I do all these exact movements except I always try to add a gimbal movement, in almost every shot, by making the gimbal go up or down in all these kind of shots, I get a more dynamic, 3D space movement, that make evey shot seem more cinematic, imho. Great note on the ND blurring the foreground.
@GeroLubovnik3 жыл бұрын
This is one of the best videos that can help create a checklist for different shots when you get on the scene and the mind temporarily goes blank. Can save your behind until you can get it together creatively. Thanks. But Jeven... Lose the hat. Makes you look like a Super Mario Brother in gangsta mode. You're a good looking dude, brilliant and love ya man...but that hat... eeesh!

Great info! 👍🏾 I like #10. Didn’t know you could move the drone while in active track.
@tonyowen1163 жыл бұрын
I like the combo movement shots. Definitely a challenge doing it manually, but as you said - practice, practice, practice. The arcing movement, with pan and rising (or descending) is really cool. Another is forward toward on object (making sure you pass over it), and gimbal down as you approach and pass the object, then gimbal back up. That takes some real co-ordination and planning.
@dadams80863 жыл бұрын
Wow! Thank you. I’m new to drones and trying to learn some of this that you detailed here. I’m a fixed wing pilot and have been blundering my way through doing video of my airplane and myself after landing on a gravel bar. I know it will take a lot of practice, but you’ve given me a direction to go. What I have the most trouble with is making any movement smoothly. Practice, practice, practice. Love your videos. Thanks!

I have noticed that often your footage will have some stuttering, i.e not completely fluent. Which drone are you using and what are the settings? 4K 30 frames/s For example around 9:37 but also a lot of other places.
@anhonestreviewer70153 жыл бұрын
I think he's filming in 4K 24fps, which from my experience causes a certain jitter to the footage, especially when there's a lot of sideways movement.

Some nice drone moves there. Now this might be very obvious to you or others who have been flying drones for sometime but I have just realised that having two kinds of movement in a shot makes it more visually appealing. Either two movements of the camera itself or the movement within the scene and a camera movement. Like the shot of waves in the beginning of this video, where waves are hitting parallel to the frame while camera moves sideways. Every frame a painting illustrated this in a video on Michael Bay. He uses this technique to enhance the scenes like the top down scene of bombs dropping in Pearl Harbour. Bomb is spinning one way while camera is spinning another way and those two different motions create a unique perspective. One more movement that can be added to the 3 motion shot is zooming in. I saw it on another channel where you gradually zoom in while flying backwards and that also creates a parallax effect. Now imagine what you can do with 4 motions.
