I didn't know that Avengers was controversial, I knew the Superheroes 2 was (personally I like it) but not Avengers Also, Spider-Man wasn't part of the Civil War pack, I'm not sure if it was that he wasn't revealed yet, or if it was a licensing thing, but I recall his omission being somewhat of a controversy. Spider-Man, both the MCU and Classic versions, as well as Miles, Scarlet Spider, and I think Ultimate Spider Woman and Iron Spider, were, as I recall, a free DLC that was the last addition to the game.
