Might be head shape. The back of the head kind of looks like a question mark ? Some people have less curve for the headband to hold under so it slides up. I'd say fake the headwrap look with hard headband covered in fabric. They make really cute ones with bows and velvet. Might be a good alternative

You talk about not washing your hair every day. I try to go days without washing and it is just gross. How often do you wash? What do you use for dry shampoo?
