I'm using an android phone in this video and every video I made about 360 cameras 😂👍. Plus the app has more features than the desktop software. You cannot do some of these shots on Insta360 Studio.

Awesome video Shanil. A shot I would add to this list is the "backpack" shot. If you put the selfie-stick in your bag it gives you a neat overhead perspective and avoids the awkward stiff-arm look of handheld selfie-stick shots.

Hi! The audio quality on the ONE X is not very good. 95% of the time I scrap the audio from the ONE X. GoPro is definitely better. I would say wait for the new GoPros to be announced in a few weeks time. There is a new GoPro 360 camera coming 😁👍

You need a 360 camera otherwise the selfie stick will not be invisible and you cannot reframe as accurately

If I edit this/these first on my iPad with the appropriate pivot points included, will the finished video file contain all the same info/pivot points when I take the clip into PowerDirector?

Once you take the video out of the app, you have a finished clip/video. In the video editor you just join the clips together, add transitions, colour grade add music etc. You cannot change the pivot points. You can, of course, edit the video again in the app in a different way so you have more options later.

Could I edit the video on the phone like you're doing in this video and then upload the file to my desktop for further editing? I currently use a gorpo for action shots on my mountain bike but have been thinking about the one x. My desktop is older model and I dont think my computer can handle the editing of the fusion. It seems the one x is more simple to edit for non professionals. But I would like to include the 360 camera capabilities to my current shots.

Yes you can do that but your phone free capture exports are limited to 1080p. Also, you need a lot of phone storage to store 5.7K video files.

Hello to all. Well I just caught the Galaxy S5e, mainly to edit the videos of the insta360 one x camera when I go hiking, so I just have to take the tablet and go. I started trying to edit a video with the insta360 app, and what was my surprise when I hit the play and can not move the video. It can not even reproduce it, it goes to constant pulls, and I do not mean jumps every 5 or 6 seconds no, like machine-gun type, continuous jumps that make it impossible to visualize the video. I do not understand it, with my Huaweyi p30 pro I edit them without any problem. I do not know if it is incompatible with the tablet, by software issue or is that it does not directly have the power to edit this type of videos in 360º. Any ideas. Thank you

It's best to use one of the compatible phones mentioned by Insta360 on their website. I don't think I've ever seen a list of compatible tablets unfortunately... Because there are soo many Android devices on the market, you can be sure the ones they list on their website are being tested by the Insta360 team. With the rest of them... you will just have to get lucky...

Thanks for the editing tips. I'm considering buying the camera when I can get the venture case. Anyway or tips to reduce the fish eye/spericalness of it? Some shots it's unnoticeable and in others it really stands out. Curved trees and telegraph poles anyone? I hope it can get fixed one day.

Editing on the One X app gives you very little control over editing. I can reduce the fish eye effect significantly in Premiere Pro and even Studio For One X. The more you zoom into the footage, there is less fish eye distortion. But then it gets more blurry. The more you zoom out, the more fish eye distortion you get. But then the video is more sharper. I personally don't mind the fish eye effect on the edges because the viewer focus is in the center. But yes, it would be nice to remove the distortion somehow and retain the video quality 😀

In Studio for One X, you can just use Natural view (which I think is "rectilinear" in other similar applications). It works for buildings and other vertical edges as it keeps them straight.

Thank you Stephen! Try using Manual Mode instead. If you are running during the day... Set the ISO to 100 and keep increasing the Shutter until it's not soo bright. That should do the trick! 😃 Let me know how it goes!
