I find it interesting that you suggest riding in muddy conditions. Most trails I know of don't want riders on the trail when they are wet and muddy. There are a few exceptions, but not many. Riding in muddy conditions does a lot of damage to the trails and the people who work on them, usually volunteers, are not happy when riders go on closed trails or don't follow the general rule of not riding when the trails are wet.

I would say buy yourself a dirtjump bike and progress all your basic skills with it! I started with manuals and bunnyhops and I can now manual 5-10 secs, bunnyhop much higher and with better control and style. Also doing some pumptracks and soon will try jumps. Do not forget to buy one that fits your size! I made a mistake 3 years ago buying an uni size (unfortunatelly most brands do only universal size) and was unable to do any technical stuff, it was so tiny form me. Now with my new L size Commencal Absolut with reach 440 mm I am more than happy :)

I am already pretty good at mtb but I want to get better but u don’t know how. I was a trials ruder for about 5-6 years and I was pretty good at it so I am really good at technical stuff. I do also jump a lot of jumps but when I watch KZbin I feel like everyone is better than me. I want to improve. I want to be about as good as you guys at gmbn but I just can’t figure out what to do to improve. I know that oftentimes I’m just afraid going full speed or sending a jump even though I know that I’m 100% able to do it. I think I’m too scared which is weird though because I wasn’t scared when I was a trials rider.

Kinda funny to watch this video and hear Blake sugesting to stay fit. To me the fitness is the least of the worries because I am a xc racer (16 y o)and fitness is my strong side but my tehnique is very bad compared to others, so I´m losing time in technical situations but faster than anybody else in places where you need strenght like sprints, straights and climbs. Specially on climbs, oh how I love climbs! But yeah mostly looking for things that can help my tehnique. Ps I live in Estonia where´s almost no mountains where to practise my riding and my home trails are also very flat. So sorry if there´s some mistakes in this text.

one more tip is riding with someone who's actually better&faster than you, let them lead and you follow down the trail. you'll pick up a skill or two by doing this. just keep humble and suck up your strava pride for a moment. plus you can verify if that guy who's topped you on strava using an e-bike or not ;)

Love the bike design kzbin.infoUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L and functionality. It is hard to align the front tired to center the disk brakes. The brake wheel touches the stationery side of the brake caliper and pad. I aired the tire up to 40 psi as the markings say 40-60psi. Left the house for a few hours and came back to an exploded innertube. All in all it seems to be a good bike. Have not ridden it yet though so that's the max of my knowledge. Update, put a new innertube made sure the tire was set properly and it did the same thing in under 20 minutes as second pic shows.
