I think he touched the biggest issue with the 300$ skins briefly, its simply the fact that people have shown they are willing to buy it. Riot would have absolutely no problem making proffit off of a 50-80$ skin at all, but they dont have to sell it cheap they can sell it for insane prices simply because people will buy the skins regardless.

I think his argument is strange and he just doesn't mind the price as much as others. I dont really get why he bothered to make this particular argument cause it's not really resonant. The figures he cites are totally from his ass, and while the production costs are likely high this is more than likely due to staffing costs, but i also can't imagine that maintenance costs number in the 10s of millions AND requires this level of nickel and diming. We can look to the MMO model to see that this model is EXTREMELY profitable specifically because maintenance is not as costly as novel production. I think it especially is a hollow argument when he argues the price is reasonable while constantly calling it ludicrous. The only thing that matters for the price is how much are people willing to pay. The goal isn't for the company to make BACK it's money, the goal is for it to make exponentially more money. Since we don't have exact numbers for how much Riot actually spends on TFT maintenance any argument for or against pricing is at the end of the day a person expressing what they're willing to spend and says nothing about why Riot priced it other than they figure most are willing to pay it.

I think theres an error with the subtitles in the beginning. At 0:02 the sub says "The game's just bad", but it sounded more like saying "I think im just bad" or something similar, which would make more sense with the context when i watched his stream.

Assuming it's AWS as server backend, using their calculator, say you need 10,000 compute instance and 100TB of db that'd net around 50k per month, which is nothing. Even if let's say 50 ppl work with TFT and averages around 100k per month each that's 5 mil per month. These are already ridiculous numbers, I couldn't imagine how you reach "tens of millions per month"

10 Rebels comp is easier to hit since there are 8 rebel units, unlike enforcers with only 7. 3 spat prismatic traits should always be better than 2 spat prismatic. This is why 10 Enforcer or 9 Conqueror is (or should theoretically be) better than 10 rebels. 10 Enforcer is extremely overtuned tho, if you were to compare it to 9 Conqueror (the other 3 spat prismatic). It's also probably due to how combat-heavy it is. 9 Conqueror has to be balanced around both cash out and stats, unlike 10 Enforcer which only has stats, and as a compromise, have the gimmick of taking items.

"i promise you that riot cannot hold this game without the overpriced skins" How do you think league itself survived for 10 years buddy, and now tft is hanging onto an already existing and profitable IP, even more when they dont have to do most of the models and vfx since they use all of it from league or wild rift (the ambessa encounter at the start of the video isnt even from pc league, its from wild rift) The only part that they have to spend a lot of money in, is in programmers to hold the spaghetti of the rest of riot together when putting in new ideas that nobody asks for and then everybody complains about when the set is halfway done. Nobody likes this game for real, nobody has fun, its extremely hypocritical to say that you wouldnt prefer this game to not exist when 2/4 videos of yours start with you complaining about the whole set or last game. yeah tft is not that expensive, 4 months of mostly balancing / some qol changes does not equal to tens of millions. Maybe one ten million, i doubt that any set cost more than 15 millions considering reusing most of the assets and MAYBE joining with other teams to design someone like mel that still will be in league in few months. From one side i do kinda get box complaining bcs streaming could be considered his livelyhood but playing tft 10+ hours each day most of the time does things to mfers mentality. imo he should take a break from tft for few days and either stream less or with breaks between each few games when he's tilted to avoid getting frustrated and missplaying or complaining due to frustration PS. If skins were cheaper they wouldn't exactly make riot more money but they could reverse some damages that were made to company-customer relationship due to many unapologized or half azz replied controversies
