Sauvage Elixir is my #1 and I have Xerjoff and PDM in my collection. Just something about it. Dior made an all time fragrance. Now Gaultier, Boss, Ralph Lauren and Rabanne have all made their own “elixirs”. Dior really hit it out of the park with their Sauvage line

For me personally, I’ve owned Suavage Elixir since it was released, it’s actually such a specific fragrance, when I say that I mean I really don’t think it’s appropriate for just general day to day use, for me, the only vibe is when it’s a VERY cold , and crisp day, and your going out socially. Never when it’s warm, never when your in the office (take it from my experience)

Chris, just noticed, Eau Givrée is missing in the list of fragrances mentioned in the description. Fully seconding exactly five, so half of the ones mentioned: DHI, Prada L'Homme, Bleu de Chanel EDP, V&R Spicebomb Extreme, Terre d'Hermes Eau Givrée. The five ones I'd change: - Chanel Allure Home Sport Eau Extreme Simply not a big fan of this fragrance, would replace it just because of personal taste. I'd recommend instead Terre d'Hermes EDT (and in that case would replace the freshie Eau Givrée with Dior Homme Cologne for variety's sake.) Other options I'd recommend just as much as Terre d'Hermes as daily drivers could be in fact Dior Sauvage EDT, and Montblanc Explorer. - AdG Parfum Not a fan of aquatics in general, so wouldn't recommend any, even if AdG Profumo (basically the same thing as this one) is one of the very few I do pass. Instead I'd pick here an elegant gentlemanly alternative: JPG Le Male Le Parfum, Tom Ford Grey Vetiver, Tom Ford Beau de Jour, or Dior Eau Sauvage Parfum. - Givenchy Gentleman Reserve Privee If only recommending 10, having DHI makes this one a bit redundant imho, they are quite in a close ballpark. So I'd replace it with a different enough warm weather night-out DNA: Armani Strongly with You Intensely or Absolutely. This DNA is something quite different from everything else on the list, very modern, and also possibly more appealing to a younger crowd. - Dior Sauvage Elixir This is way too strong for a general recommendation, likely the strongest fragrance among all of designers after all. Not for everyone, imho. I love it, but again wouldn't recommend it among only 10. Would rather recommend one of the ones I mentioned as alternatives for AdG Parfum before recommending this one. - Tom Ford Ombre Leather I like it, but also imho not for everyone, wouldn't include it in a list recommending only 10. Would rather pick again one of those I mentioned replacing AdG Parfum. If the person wears leather frequently or is known to love the smell of leather, then ok.

I own around 40-50 fragrances and I just bought ysl lhomme edp. Just got it in the mail today and I can say it wowed me. I expected it to be a bit boreing and slightly outdated but after seeing so many positive reviews I bought a bottle and am incredibly impressed…. So far is lasted about 5 hours which isn’t great but not terrible. It smells very pleasing so I’ll find myself over spraying and hopefully getting 6-8….

I just can't get into BDC, to me it just smells straight up shower gel. I know it's a compliment getter and a top tear designer but it's so basic to my nose. Allure homme sport Eua Extreme now that for me is what a designer frag should be.

I have 3,5/10. Spicebomb Extreme is my favorite designer and Acqua di Gio Profumo is my favorite freshie. I love Reserve Privee and I also have Chanel Allure Sport (sans Eau Extreme) so I count that as a half. I am most likely picking up Dior Homme Parfum this winter or the next. Great list!

Chris, I would be great to hear your opinion on essential oils vs. perfumes. I'm not into perfumes but I love essential oils. For instance, there are Oud fragrances but do they compare to authentic, aged, wild Cambodian Oud oil? Like great perfumes, great essential oils are also complex and layered.

Hey Chris, I have most of these. I find that I am gravitating more towards gentlemanly style fragrances. These all hit the mark for different reasons. The ones I don’t have on this video are on my to get list. Hermes Eau Givree being my next purchase. My wife doesn’t like leather fragrances so I probably won’t buy Ombré leather. I have Rare Carbon for solitary moments to scratch the leather itch. Keep up the great work Chris.

If you don't tell her that it is a "leather" fragrance she will most likely not notice it. Besides that. Wear it and use it. Wear it when you are outside, at work, the gym, anywhere except near her. Or buy it, and wear it. Why do you care if she likes it or not? God forbid that you tell her that you don't like it when she wears lipstick, her hair a certain way, certain clothes, etc.... A woman would wear anything you tell her not to wear out of spite. Wear it f*ck it.

Here's the reality. I have cheapies and colognes up to $1000 per bottle, and hand over fist, women have told me they liked my sauvage colognes WAY more than any other fragrance I own. More so than Tom Fords, Xerjoffs, Creed's, Versace, D & G, etc...doesn't matter. Sauvage is always the winner for me, even though I prefer most of my other fragrances over it lol

I guess I am a sucker for elixirs. I love Sauvage Elixir and it really hurts my next to buy fragrance selection. I always apply 2 sprays of Elixir on my neck and go to test other fragrances. I apply the testers on my wrist and arms, and in 1 hour Elixir just dominates them. Yes I can smell them if I shove my arm to my nose, but does it really matter at that point? Ombre Leather also stands out like Elixir and I love it. I am really in between Spicebomb, Terre D'hermes and Homme Intense to buy next. I love all of these but I'm on a budget and can only get one this month, what would you recommend between these 3? Oh btw, Terre is missing on the list you shared in video description, just fyi

Both are definitely 9/10 at least. D&G the one edp is super sexy with a nice spicy slightly sweet ambery woodiness. Doesn’t last the longest so nighttime use is best. Armani code parfum has been my daily go to during the fall. Very nice opening with the fresh bergamot that slowly dries down into a very nice, clean slightly powdery sweetness but not cloying at all. Super fresh sweet clean fragrance. Both imo are must haves

Well, from Designer homes. Only the old fragrances were actually created by the true owners and developers of these houses.
