Paulina (Swedish YTuber) mentioned early on the inconsistent quality of Oden’s eye and I remember they were really rude to her about it. Because of that I never purchased from Oden’s Eye. Love your makeup look BTW. Your eyes look so sparkly. ❤

YES!!!!! I remember Paulina and she turned me OFF from odens eye because they removed her from their pr list just bcuz she gave an honest opinion.. I don’t stand for this and that singularly turned me off from the brand 😑

I cannot speak for every indie brand because I have not tried them all myself, but I will tell you that I have thrown out so many indie brand eyeshadow palettes because the formula does not last. The shadows dry up and become unusable. I have main stream palettes that are older, and are still kicking strong after years. It’s hard for me to spend over $70 on an indie brand palette, knowing that it won’t last more than maybe three years in my collection. You may have to be the one to tell me after you’ve had them for a few years lol.😂

This happened with some of the shades in my Its Bel Cosmetics - Dawn of Fall palette!! I was so sad, it was some of my fav shades that just totally dried up. I have never had that happen before, I was so taken aback.

One shade just completely fell out - not even the whole shade but piece by piece (I never dropped it) I was waiting for a bad review but everybody seemed to love it so I felt stupid. Other shimmers were pretty but they hardpanned and after a year they’re not that pretty anymore

That’s my only Ogden’s Eye palette and I regret it too! Never gonna get anything from them. The shimmers were too dry and flakey. Mattes were okay. But I was so excited about the shimmers but what a let down.

I only have the Hella Palette from Oden’s Eye. Don’t like the formula. It doesn’t last on my eyes even with different primers. I hate how it’s so hyped up on YT.

I'm fascinated by this video. I am still new to indie palettes, and haven't pulled the trigger on an Oden's Eye yet. I did try a Sydney Grace which I liked. I haven't tried anything else indie yet.

I feel like I’m the only one that loves the Jewels and Gems palette 😂 My heart is with Indie palettes but there is a part of me that still gets drawn in by Pat McGrath, Tarte and other mainstream brands. Sometimes I just want something simple and mindless and sometimes I want something to really stretch my creativity! In any case, I love this video and it makes me so excited for another palette week! 🎉 👀

Sephora rewards suck. Did you see the whole debacle on the advent calendar this year 2500 points for junk I stop shopping at Sephora a long time ago for this reason. I go straight to the brands website instead I get better deals. I have been on tretinoin now for two years and I am so thankful that my skin never went through any purge. My dr did up the percentage. I kept waiting for my skin to peel, molt, etc. but my doctor said my skin must’ve been really good that I’ve never went through that. I still use it. I will say, though that my lips are the only thing that has suffered because they get super dry and chapped 😂😂 lip oils have been my best friend.

I have 3 Oden's Eye palettes and i truly don't like their shimmers. Sure they are pretty, but in most of them after 1-2 uses is already hard pan. Never happened in other eye palettes. Also Sorcerous Smoke from Unearthly is next declutter for me. I imagine it would be at least good quality for price point but i find shimmers dry, patchy and not so smooth as i expected. It's my personal preferences but now i know what to skip :)

I'm over mainstream shadows as well, I discovered indie palettes this year and nothing compares. Hoping to try endsleigh reign soon. I've held off cos of the shipping to the UK lol xx

Hi Steph I don't buy many palettes and in fact only bought two this year so far (although I have a couple on my Xmas wishlist 😂). I haven't used either very much and would probably take my money back 😂. In fairness both were affordable ( a Lorac from tkmaxx and a K beauty palette) and both were to try the formula, but neither has become a favourite. I find myself using my favourites most of the time tbh as it's a no fail look that I don't have to worry about looking bad through the day - just easy and never fails. Why then do I need twenty plus palettes? It's easy to get sucked in by the hype is the reason, although I am fairly restrained considering I have watched beauty KZbin for ten years😂. Best wishes x

The only palette that was doing that to me was oden's eye giant wolves like a bunch of the shimmers dried up or didn't have pigment and I could dupe either spot on or close the rest so I tossed that one in the garbage and I don't miss it! The one brand indie that hasn't let me down that I can speak to is Sydney grace. Their quality is so good. And honestly some mainstream is so solid still it just doesn't have the same hype as indie I guess.

I had the same w Giant Wolves... But my shimmers were dried up on ARRIVAL 😂they were not working from day one and mattes weren't good. But every second or so palette is the same. They have batch issues from day 1
