Tbh, I hated the Mummy Memory levels when I was a kid. Especially considering i couldn’t use power ups or lawnmowers. To make matters worse I had to leave behind Bonk Choy, Grave Buster, Repeater, Twin Sunflower and the prizes I can get behind because of those levels. Though they became easy when I learned to master them and I started to like them

My favorite part of Ancient Egypt was the memory game, I think taking it out of the game was such a poor idea. It was very fun and engaging, and would've made a great level for farming pinatas.

I remember playing Pvz 2 when the far future came out with my bro and experience trolling each other by “accidentally” dig out the endangered plants, screaming at the screen for losing mummy memory for god knows how many times, taking hours to download the full game package, gargantuas for keys and looking at funny Facebook gifts icon drooling for those rewards and trying out the event levels that give free plants and got ghost pepper, gold bloom, aloe and electro cranberry. Good ol time 😌

I remember when there were only 3 levels and those plan and defence mini games I remember if the zombies tramp on your lawnmower you lose 😐 and if I planted more plants than the limit I lose too or if I plan on these mold thingies I lose too I love the fact that the old updates didn’t even care about helping you they just wanted you to use your brain lol, it’s basically you have to keep focus on the small problems not just the zombies Now you can’t do any of those 😔 it’s a good thing but still memories

I have a theory the reason they got rid of mummy memory is that there may have been a glitch in later updates or patches where since the ability to win was based on mummy's spawning perhaps there were instances of the matching mummy wouldn't spawn and thus result in the player loosing completely out of their control this is just a theory but it may have been possible during the many updates with zombie changes and plant updates

fun fact: in earlier builds the first mini boss stage(acient egypt gargantuar level... i do not know its day number) used to give all the keys you ever need but now you have to defeat the zomboss of the given world to proceed which is annoying for players with skill issue like me(meaning i cant get the plants of other worlds that was meant to be claimed after you are done with the previous world)

I don't know why they removed this thing with digging up endangered plants with a shovel... But sometimes I accidentally removed them, leading me to lose the phase, so maybe they removed this because of accidental removal? The memory of ancient Egypt was very difficult for me, I passed hours being nervous 'cause, matching the right patterns, but I really liked this minigame... I miss this phase so much :(

I don't know if you all know this... Plants VS Zombies 2 from the start has a different pathways to unlock doors or stage and such. Of course, this was 1 of those hardest type of game since it has so many levels in just 1 world. Unlike now, it has only the most 32 levels in 1 world. I still can remember that you need specific keys to unlock those paths for you to complete up until you get to the last stage which involves battling Zomboss only for the other World Keys. Those times was the real start of the PvZ2. But it was hard, maybe that's why scrapped the idea of it.
