You should also add an 11th feature pertaining to the 3rd row seats. I have yet to find one video or review showing this particular feature. I accidently found it myself. The unknown and overlooked feature I'm talking about is that the third row seat backs actually recline a few inches! To recline them you just pull the release at the top of the seat and pull backwards instead of pushing the seat flat and they will lock into a reclined position. I know the 3rd row seats are only for small people but having the ability to recline them a few inches makes it feel a lot less cramped and a bit more comfortable! 👍

I saw people talk about it, but all said it was practically useless for those who did talk about it. Apparently there is not enough room, which I disagree from what I saw, you just need to move the middle seats more forward.

It's like 2.5 rows that third row can't fit an adult no leg space maybe a kid or child seat I wish they didn't have abs kept the spare tire- I do love the second seats reclines and plenty of leg space

True, tried it myself. I'm 6'2" and am able to fit in the third row without my head touching ceiling and only very slight slouching when it is reclined all the way and the second row is moved forward a few inches (still reasonable for people in second row). The top of the headrest is still a few inches away from the rear windshield at max recline so don't worry about them hitting. Gas Outlander third row is also a lot more comfortable than PHEV.

11th very cool feature is auto adjusting high beam headlights - great for rural night time driving. You don't have to keep switching high beam on and off, and the headlights also auto adjust left and right side brightness depending on the driving direction of the car. Turn auto headlight adjust on by pushing the button in on the end of the stalk.

The garage door opener in the infotainment system is not a positive feature. It requires constant subscription to their service. Who wants to continually pay for features you want to use? Same with remote start. 🤬

Mitsubishi back up cameras are so good . I have a 2018 outlander sport and the backup camera is on point and quick . I also have driven an 2015 Audi Q7 and the backup camera was very slow compared to Mitsubishi .

Great question. It's a little tricky. First, make sure your headlights are on. Then, on the washer lever, make sure the intermittent selector is all the way to the top. You should see three water drops at the top. Then engage the windshield washer like normal. It will wash the windshield and the headlights at the same time.

Ours actually came with a spare tyre! It’s just not a full sized tyre but apparently safe to drive up to 100kms until you hit a service centre to get it replaces :) hope this helps! We’re in AUstralia though.

Hi RL, good question. With your foot on the brake, grab the gear selector. Depress the button on the side, and push up. This will shift the vehicle into reverse.

It really depends on where you are. Here in West Virginia, we won't have units to sell until early next year. However, certain "Zero Emissions" states have them now. So, you can likely find them in places like California, Washington, Oregon, New York, and so on. Every Mitsubishi Dealer has one demo model right now though if you want to check it out.

Is there any particular reason Mistibishi has use this engine and is it powerful enough like other Turbo engines? I believe, it will be quite fueled sippy which is quite annoying when you drive for a short distance and fuel economy is not so good. 3rd Row seating - Can adults of height around 5'8'' can easily fit in?

Im buying one as we speak and we test drove a SE model and it drives and handles quite well and zippy for a 2.5 4cyl. I know i was skeptical at first but. Its a family car. Not a race car. But does go when you want it to. Also the second row slides forward and back and the backrest inclines a little. Im 6' and i had the driver seat set up for me, and i set up the second row for my self behind driver with nice room and i do believe a teen or small adult would fit on the 3rd row and be comfortable. Obviously its not a Yukon. But you can make it work

Mitsubishi Oulander 2022 locks the gas tank when the engine is turned ON. You can open it just by pressing the lid when the engine is OFF. I am not sure if there is a setting inside to let it open when engine is ON.

@@sophiakrist3938, take it back to the service department. They have several things to try to fix it. First they’ll adjust the hood latch and the rubber stoppers. That won’t fix it, though. Their next step will be to add weather stripping seals under the hood. They are doing that to mine tomorrow. I’ll let you know how that works.

@@wmson11 , so I took it back to the dealership today. They said they made the latch adjustments as part of the delivery prep but that clearly didn’t help. Today they installed three pieces of weather strip. While it didn’t completely fix it, it is about 50-75% better. Much improved. He’s going to keep me on the list and call me when/if Mitsubishi ever comes up with a true solve.

I'm in Oz, and have model 3 of 5. In the cargo area, lift the floor panel to access 3rd row headrests to add to 3rd row seats if in use, also jack and tools, Jerry can fuel funnel and lift further for a space saver tyre.

Correct, the Black Edtion Outlander does not have built-in Navigation. However, you can use your favorite maps app via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Most of our customers prefer this to a traditional navigation system.

I was so excited when I first got this brand new car until things started to break the first week I had it. and no I was on a highway the whole time from Illinois to vegas. trims were falling off. but the worst problem is my dog and I got gas poisoning and we have the medical paperwork to prove it. and come to find out Mitsubishi when they made it something to do with the AC line I know if your mechanic it won't make sense and that's probably why it's doing it lol. but there's literally gasoline leaking out of the two which you can see in my videos. and after the fourth time no joke I got it towed there. I made another video and this is after they told me it was safe to drive and that it was just a temporary fix but they will come up with something that was 4 months ago. and they don't give you any loaners they don't give you any help. so if you get a car from them and something goes wrong your s*** out of luck. and trust me no dealership has used cars right now and they're not willing to do it for you. another very important thing about this vehicle. I had a bunch of fuses blown and went back to the parts department the most bizarre thing I've ever witnessed in my life is they never even saw these type of fuses before. how do I know this. I asked for those fuses to be placed in the car on the seat for when I picked it up. they gave me the correct amperage but totally different size they didn't even look. like they didn't even see what fuses were in it. so then the service manager at Mitsubishi went online to see who carries it nobody does. so I had to go on eBay order it from f****** japan. so what they should have done like a cell phone maybe roll these bad boys out and give them away instead of charge people a bunch of money for Hey listen I'm not bashing this car if it would work right. there is so many options are many options sorry I'm using talk text. and you may get lucky and get a good one. but you should ask yourself this one question. if you have family or just yourself and you go on a long road trip and something does go wrong they do not have parts available. so you will either have to wait for your car to get shipped back home or you will have to get a rental car or to your own pocket and then drive back with the rental and then drive your original car back like this s*** I can't even make up. you would think I know it's a process to go through but if Mitsubishi and their regional manager saw the fact that I have a vehicle that's dripping gasoline and fumes out of the vehicle even when it's not turned on I don't know you would think

@@mcclintonauto I have had it towed to service 4 times. Want to know what the dealership told me? The are waiting on Mitsubishi to tell them what to do. You know I bought a certified used 2014 Hyundai Elantra I think it had like 48,000 miles on it. 2 days after I bought it the engine seized do you know what not only do they put a brand new engine in it for me they gave me a loaner for 6 weeks without question. I would think in rare situations where people buy new cars right off the lot brand new. At minimum they would have something in their policy like hey if our Engineers or if our machines built the car wrong and it's not capable of doing what we say it's does. Then why can someone not explain to me in a good way one how that's even right? And two I'd like to just say thank you for responding in a nice professional way because I also can't say anything about your dealership. And my response I apologize if it came across towards you or anybody reading this. I just want them to know that it's kind of scary to think when you buy a new car. And you decide a nice long trip with your family or like mine is my dog. You're 2,000 miles away from home and they tell you basically good luck.

Spike, the 2022 Outlander is an IIHS Top Safety Pick +. The Outlander received their highest and toughest rating. Further, the Outlander received a good rating for the side impact test.

I feel a lot of reviews are not covering the fact that there is no spare tire or Jack. Instead it comes with an inflation kit a sealer and a compressor. Now it comes with run-flat tires. That may give you confidence to drive a small distance to get a new tire at low speed but you have to factor in the cost to replace that one tire and that pudding for new ones on at a later point is going to cost a heck of a lot more in the future than normal tires. Now something they'll be more demand in the future but the growth in cars shipping with that type of Tire really hasn't grown a whole lot the last few years buyer beware

It's correct that the new Outlander does not have a spare tire. Just like the old Outlander didn't have a spare tire. With the Third Row, there is no room for a spare tire. Mitsubishi includes 5 Years of Roadside Assistance with every new vehicle.

@@mcclintonauto my parents I think had one before the previous model and I think it did have a spare tire. I'm not knocking the lack of the spare tire. If you live in an area where there's easy access to a tow I don't think it matters what I am concerned about of the run-flat tires which from what I've read are more expensive and not as easy to repair which means you're having to replace one or sometimes two tires and since the Outlander a lot of them are all-wheel drive there's the pressure to want to fix all four. There are other third row SUVs that do have spare tires I think the issue here is the Outlander is really not competing with some of those it's more in line with say the CRV from Honda for example

@@mcclintonauto we have 9 Mitsubishi units in ours fleet , outlanders, outlanders sport and 4 eclipse cross, Let’s start with Bad engines, especially on eclipse cross, all cars get terrible cheap quality of interior trim materials ladder, or clause, make no sense , artificial leather panels fall off on cars of on 22 outlanders , we glue and refix them manually, plastic covers of seat bolts rails fall off, touchscreens after few years lost they sensitivity and must be replased, some electronic modules such as USB stops to work, in regards to Awd units the rear differentials get noise after 30k miles on eclipse cross , comparable to Toyota units which we also have in our fleet the Mitsubishi quality is way lower.

FYI remote start feature is exclusively on a app. The vehicle has to be in cell phone signal range in order for that app to work. Will not work on WiFi. No cell signal=no remote start!!!!!!!!!!!!!. There is no back up remote start on the key fob. The entire feature is 💯 reliant on cell signal

I’ve found the remote start to be pretty spotty. It’s a crap shoot on whether it will work. Don’t forget, when your free trial runs out, this is a pay to use feature just like satellite radio and your garage door opener.
