The refs tried to get Barca through against Roma in these 2 legs. 2 penalties denied to Roma in 1st leg early on which would have been massive for them. The game yesterday was the same, all little calls go in favor of Barca and ref almost didn't call that clear penalty. He also didn't give Pique a red card and I can't see any possible reason considering it was the clearest goal scoring opportunity ever and Pique was the last man. After Roma somehow scored the 3rd goal they tried to give Barca call. They didn't call 2 CLEAR offsides on Barca but thank god the players couldn't score. Also notice that any 50/50 or "difficult" calls go in favor of Barca and also Real Madrid. Sometimes the refs are very subtle but you can still see it.

There was a match like this last week. Inverness CT v Falkirk in the Scottish League Cup qualifiers, the referee seemed to give free kicks for every smallest tackle to Falkirk. During the Apito Dourado investigation, another Portuguese club was also under the spotlight, Boavista. However, even though Porto had all the evidence against them for fixing maches for YEARS, they were only docked 6 points (!!!!!) while boavista was sent to the 3rd division! And still today there is much corruption going on in Portugal!!

The Debrecen V Liverpool Champions League game in 2009 had some match fixing involved. The Debrecen goalkeeper was bribed by some foreign investors to let in 3 goals. Liverpool still only managed to score 1 though. The goalkeeper has been convicted for throwing the game and accepting bribes.

I can't believe this one isn't on here but some might remember it..... The then West Germany v Austria in the world cup game in 1978 or 1982, i can't remember exactly which one, when, going into the last group game both teams knew that a draw would see both teams progress to the next round. So what happened was the most obvious fix as both teams didn't play, they just passed the ball around with no attempt to score for 90 minutes and the match ended in an uneventful draw. That match is the reason that now, the final round of group games kick off at the same time, so that can't happen again.

It was 1982, Germany won 1-0 and both teams went through. I think this video is about underhanded match fixing not results that suit both teams (Sweden - Denmark 2-2 in Euro 2004 is another example).
